My family has 3 players that are behind a single NATed IP address.
I am on the other coast and have a 'real' ip that is not behind a nated firewall. If they direct connect to me or we try the gamespy online service, it doesnt matter, the multiplayer game just doesnt work.
Ancient games like Kohan worked with no problems with the same configuration.
Civ4 either doesnt start or throws out of sync issues right away.
So how do you get multiple people behind a NATed IP address to be able to play? I cant believe that KOHAN worked and CIV4 didnt cover this.
