Multipolarity III - Game Thread

Attention! With Magnus and Denel coming of age as of 24 March 2503, we is important that wifes are aquired for the honour of the Flanagon family. Hence forth the next will the twins marry their wifes. Magnus will marry Princess Oxana Yaskev of Russia. Denel will marry Princess Elizabeth of New Zealand. With the Emperor and the current Imperial Heir to be in locked via holy linkage to Russia and New Zealand respectfully we feel the Imperium of Man will be of great prestige.

Fr Leonardo Orsini, chosen to be Prince Bishop of Peel and Archbishop of Mann by Pope Pius XXV, will commence the honour of marriage services for the dynasties. When the marriages, including dates, are fully organised the families of the couples involved will be all invited, along with any soveriegn around the world wishing to witness the glory of the Imperium of Man's rites of stability. We issue represenatives be sent from all over the world to the marriage event. We even invite Nicolas Gell who will be released from house arrest into his service in a monestery, as a honour to the Emperor he was Regent to. As we have no information of the Baron of Rushan, who was tutor to both Magnus and Denel, we will just have his name mentioned in honour, even with rumours in our investigations over Gilmore's death that the Baron may be wanted for questioning.

Anyrate: God bless the Imperium of Man!

Blood Empire Response

The recording crews set up, twiddling with the camera to get picture perfect clarity and light quality. The set is draped in Royal Purples and Blood Red. The colours of the Empire. From the side she appears.

Perfection.

It is a word that falls far short of its meaning. A letter would not have been able to capture her beauty and pose. That is why the camera crew is here. They still for a moment, before a growl from Zephon snaps them back into action.

Razeil, Heir Prince to the Immortal thrown appears from the side and nods to the camera men to start recording.

"Greetings to the Imperium of Manx. We of the Blood Empire wish to send our congratulations on the happy coming of age of some of your Royal Line. Although we were not contacted for possible matches we have decided to take initiative and offer anyway."

Raziel indicates the being of perfection to step forth. The light catches her form and words fail-

"This is my new Childe, Ariel. Reborn as she turned eighteen, she is from a religious family and welcomed the chance to become more and help the Blood Empire continue to bring peace and happiness to it's subjects."

She bowed, Hair fluttering. "Good day to you kind sirs."

"We would ask that you also consider her for any future marriage arrangements. As my Childe she is considered the Grand Daughter of the Immortal King and thus the Crown Princess of the Realm." Raziel turned to his Daughter. "Ariel, do you wish to say anything yourself?"

Ariel tilted her head, then replied to the camera. "I would make any future husband very happy in all affairs."

Raziel made a 'cut' motion and the cameras stopped filming. The mortals started packing up while Zephon took possession of the short video.

"Take this to the Courier department in the Foreign affairs office." Zephon said, handing the video to a trusted subordinate. He then turned to his brother and smiled. "Good work Elder brother. It is good to see you playing the game with a bit more subtlety and... ruthlessness... then usual."

"Ruthless?" Raziel scoffed. "This is pointless and petty scheme of Fathers. It is obvious with affairs as they are that the Imperium of Man will refuse our offer."

Zephon sighed. "Brother, brother, brother. To think I believed foolishly that you were finally acting your species. This is a long term scheme."

"You think they will accept some time in the future? Ariel will stay young forever but-"

"Yes. She will." Zephon, sharply interrupted. "She will stay young, beautiful, perfect, virginal, forever. They will refuse as you say. If they accept in the future then so be it. But they most likely won't. Then a time will come where one of your daughters potential husbands will be at a public international event."

"I don't-"

"They will be old. Worn out. Maybe unable to get it up. Maybe in a loveless marriage. Even if it is a nice marriage... can you picture it? Ariel walking up, greeting them, saying what a shame it is that their marriage didn't go through. She will touch their arm. Smile. Whisper a word of kindness in their ear. They will want her, they might be strong enough piously to not act on that desire, but they will want her."

Raziel stared.

"What?" Asked Zephon.

"That's it?" Growled Raziel. "All that effort and work just for that moment?"

Zephon tutted. "Raziel, it is an important moment. Lust is one of the great seven deadly sins." He took out a flask and took a drink. "Oh, yes, congratulations on now being a Father."

Denel will marry Princess Elizabeth of New Zealand.
...
When the marriages, including dates, are fully organised

Due to what we expect is a slight disparity in our different cultures depiction of adulthood, we must remind the Imperium of Man that the princess Elizabeth will not be considered of marrigable age until 2505.

"This is my new Childe, Ariel. Reborn as she turned eighteen, she is from a religious family and welcomed the chance to become more and help the Blood Empire continue to bring peace and happiness to it's subjects."

The UKNZ idly notes that our Prince Edward Turned 18 earlier this year... ;)

Understood. This may allow our resources to be set in ready for focus on marraige at a time then. Of course there is the chance that the current Imperial Heir may become the Second-in-Line but that will depend on situration. Anyrate Denel is willing to wait. By then he should prove himself worthy of marrying Elizabeth. Perhapes we may see Denel as a Archduke, depending on our claiment policies. We have to set Imperial Australia as a arch duty. Perhapes Elizabeth may be to marriage with the Archduke of Imperial Australia.

The Imperium has bounded Magnus and Denel to marry their selected wifes. As for their siblings (here was the ages back in the first day of 2500) we will be looking to marry them off but we wish to wait, especilly as we are concerned with marrying into a vampire family, especilly in consideration to the Pope's judgement. However Rein O'Neil, widow to the former Emperor Gilmore, is without husband. She is free to conduct a second marriage, which is likely set for boosting as she is the lone child of Jack O'Neil, CEO of O'Neil Industries. Hence Rein may one day take her father's place, as the company is a family leaded company. We permit the O'Neils to marry on their own accord, so long as it follows Imperium and Papal marriage laws, on penalty that should consider removing their status as citizens of the Imperium of Man. However since Rein has status as the widow to a Emperor of Man she will likely have the attention of many for her, including with her status as heir to O'Neil Industries. Consider for consideration.

In other news Ronan, Tosha, Fynn and Lora can be set to be betrothed at any moment. Remember that marriage with the Imperial Family will give a close status with us, increasing our close relations and even lead to talk of allaince, although we will not lead this if you do not wish a allaince formed from the marriage. However the marriage do issue at the least a stronger form of a NAP, as families must stick together, leaving the fighting to the arguments. Consider this in the name of our dynasties!

The sleek, dark shape of HMS Predator slipped through the icy waters towards the Kerguelen islands. The farthest point of the UKNZ, the islands were also the closest point to the tensions brewing in the Atlantic, and as such a number of smaller ships had been dispatched to their defence, whilst more significant fleets continued the proccess of pacifying the Pacific.

It would be easier though, Captain McTavish thought to himself, if the submarine he commanded was being supported by surface elements capable of standing up to a fleet. After all, the number of fleets with no specific purpose to their pacific patrols had never been higher, what was stopping command from deploying them towards the vulnerable areas?

Ensign McShoutout had muttered something about 'politicians' when he heard that line of thought, and McTavish was worried he was probably right. It was all very well to be a neutral power he supposed, but it would have been so much nicer to be a neutral power who was visibly defending its borders. Even if it was the worlds second largest fleet, it would be nice to have it visibly active.

Of course, he supposed there was some sense in holding it back. The fleets had been undergoing upgrades and expansions almost constantly since the Namibian blockade to ensure no such thing could ever happen again. There would be no repeat of that particular disaster.

The dull drone of a parlimentary discussion bored it's way into Fiona's head. The Princess sat near the entrance, with nothing to draw attention to her presence. Whilst there were no rules against her presence, the monarchy generally remianed outside the commons, partly due to a tradition nearly a thousand years old, and partly to refrain from associating with any of the loud, heated arguements that took place within.

However, King Edward had always drummed into her that it was important for a ruler to understand parliment, so the princess had adopted the tactic of attendeding the occasional session incognito. She remained far from the spotlight, but was able to observe and analyse with little difficulty, a position she rather liked.

As the long speech drew to an end, Fiona decided it was time to call it a day. She stood, and silently slipped out of the door, intending to withdraw to the palace. When she reached the car she had left waiting outside, she was mildly suprised to see another person standing and chatting with her Chauffeur.

Princess Mary turned at a muttered word from the Chauffer, greeting Fiona with a smile. "Did you have fun listening to all that talking?" Fiona rolled her eyes.
"I might not have had much fun, but I certainly got a better grasp of why we need a big fleet. As if it wasn't obvious to anyone who happens to take a glance at a map."
"And there I was worrying you might have decided to take a break and enjoy yourself for a change."
"Is that supposed to be funny?" Fiona certainly didn't find it funny, but then Mary had always seemed to think she took life too seriously.
"Oh come on Fi, when was the last time you actually went to a party?"
"I went to a dinner party just two days ago. As I recall you were sitting next to me."
"That wasn't a party, that was an endurance test disguised as a formal event."

Fiona ignored the last comment, and instead ducked into the back of the car. Mary seemed to take the action as an invitation to do the same and settled down in a seat of her own. "So I guess you aren't going to an actual party now?" Fiona gave her a quick glare, before telling the driver to return to the palace. "Thought not."

The truth was; Fiona hadn't gone to a 'proper' party in several months. At least, not to one where she felt capable of just relaxing and enjoying it. The burdens of leadership were many, and having to control ones appearance was one of the more significant ones. A princess who went to wild parties wasn't the sort most people wanted taking the throne, and so Fiona was quite careful to avoid anything that might give that impression. Sometimes she envied her younger siblings freedom to be a little more loose with their image, but she suppressed that as much as possible. She did that to a lot of things about her position.

Sometimes she wondered if she was suppressing the feeling that it wasn't helping much.

I call foul. Where is my expansion that I posted?

ooc: alas you apparently made egregious errors in your expansion orders, namely expanding into areas beyond thine own reach. (at least according to yesterdays chat)

Mind explaining that?

hmm... Yes.

Damn, I thought Taiwan was clear, Tani, you LIAR!

I did not lie. It was clear. You simply focused on attacking Romney rather than claiming, so Shanghai took advantage of such. :p

Tani, mind explaining what went wrong?

Hmm, "attacking Romney" is such an ugly expression. I prefer "Breaking an illegal blockade of the Gulf of Guinea".

Also, that didn't stop you from partially ignoring my expansion orders. But I'm not going to complain because its more efficient colonisation this way.
