At 6 months he began to hump a friends male dog despite the fact it was male. Dogs only mature at 1 year so this was quite intriuging. He also tried to suck it's....organ

I don't even know what to say, just get him a female friend. That'll calm him down.

Why not get him a neutered female friend ? And another question - are there any strays in your locality ? If so , get a female , get it vaccinated and neutered , and let the female be his companion . Should calm him down .

My dog did quite the same. But we had a cat too (male, not castrated) and the dog kept licking the cats balls, for some reason. I daresay a dog can't figure out the difference from male to female and dog to something else.

Yeah, I had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Had him neutered at age of 8 months. It was either that or he would have had to go. He was only humping his toys, Bob the Builder and Winnie the Pooh, but the stench was something horrible.
Neutering helped a lot, it didn't stop him trying alltogether, but there was nothing I'd have to clean up afterwards.

A simple squrt gun or bottle would do the trick to use when the dog is humping everything that moves. If all else fails, a trip to the vets. Im lucky I dont have a dog .

Unfortunately, that's exactly right. The best option is to castrate him (they'll call it neutering, but everyone knows what that means ). He might not be quite so thrilled about it, though.

lol, the more disturbing thing to see is a female pitbull trying to get it on with a female Choclate lab. But yes I had a dog that did something similar, thankfully he kept to humping the female dog we had, and they had a litter, well actually three liters. The only advice I can give is snipity snip snip. Castrate the little guy.

I have a Cocker Spaniel he's 11 months old now.

He then proceeded to hump the wall.

He did this both times that femal dog came ocver and he just simply would not stop. It was pretty incediable.He must take after me or something.

Has anyone else had a dog that was so horny before it was even mature? Needless to say I am very proud of him as he takes after his owner.
