Changed Miami's 2nd citizen from forest to grassland mine (growth in 4 instead of 5 turns, no production change due to corruption).

NY: Horseman->Horseman

No units moved yet.

Summary:
Expansion and exploration continued. Founded several cities, killed some barbs, made a few new military units. No success at getting across the ocean yet.
War with Egypt is looking more and more likely, but we still have some room to start a few new cities.

Without a Pic. I am not Sure where Buffalo was founded.

Also depends on where the settler is at. I think I would just chose the closest location for the settler.

As for the Forfied Warrior he was healling up after a Barb Attack.

With Cleo with a Tech and some Town on the west we might start to shift some troops there to take those towns in the future. Not to start right a away but be able to strike quick and fast when the time comes.

Buffalo was founded to the west, north of where Cleo is expanding. I have another settler about to found another city south of Buffalo and a third coming online in a couple of turns - those three will cover the highlighted city locations in the last image.

I seem to recall discussion of ring city placement, and I'm not sure if we're still going with that.

Well then, where's the screenshot?

Oops, I forgot to take the screenie this morning - I was in a hurry because I had a meeting to go to.

...they offered me a job at the meeting, by the way :D

Anyway, the screenie is attached below.

The red circles are places that will be settled within 4 turns, so the settler at Phil would do better going for something in the area of one of the pink circles. I'm not sure about exact placement, though; I'm used to playing C3C where ring placement doesn't matter.

Wow, Aztecs sure are expanding slow- they only have 5 cities!! :lol:

I told You Monty had some terrible Jungle up there to deal with Plus I think he had only one city that could even get past size three when we found him.

Okay I think the RCP was at 4 so I went with that for most of my Cities placements. However, beyond ring two I think it just OCP.
It appears we are on an Arch. Map so coastal cites are important.
Blue Dots are Ring 1 placement. But I see No loactions left for that.
Green is Ring 2 I see only Two locations and Only one is good Where you have your Purple Circle.
The other by Egypt city but takes the BG and with so few good tile there I don't like it.
Pink Ring 3 not so important but the are a few placement for those.

Until we figure where we want our FP I think RCP is now out the window.

CONGRATS! on the offer. Hope the Money is Good. I am just starting my new Job search myself.

I'm starting to think it's important to buy Construction from Cleo, even if the price is extravagant. She's advancing in tech at quite a clip.

On the other hand, I'm loathe to get her in contact with the Aztecs.

What do you guys think?

Edit: I'm done with my turnset. The save is attached to this post.

As soon as it seems nessecary to trade contact between Egypt and Aztecs, make the trade.

Well, I'll download the save. If I want the cities Egypt has on our continent...
Well, I think you know. :mischief: :evil: :devil: :sniper: :ar15: :borg: :whipped: :satan: :nya: :ninja: :spear:
Although goodmsell is up, I don't see any sign of his RL problems ending. I'll give him to tomorrow to post his got it, or I'll assume he still has RL problems.

In hindsight, I probably should have traded for Construction as soon as I saw that Cleo had it. The price went dramatically up once she researched Philosophy (and presumably started on CoL).

Well, goodsmell has been on since my last post, and I imagine he would have posted a "got it" if he could, so I'm taking the assumption that he still has RL problems.

Roster:
goodsmell: RL problems, maybe he would care to explain
choxorn: UP, got it
TripleJ: On deck
Elephantium: Just Played

Hey- do we want to revolt now? It's Turn 2 of my set, and I've just gotten Republic (and traded it to Egypt for Construction), but I am unsure about when we want to revolt, so I need feedback.

Well, sometimes when you don't have high enough surplus or too much military, you don't won't to revolt ASAP, which is why I asked. But since everyone seems to agree, I'll revolt.

Well, the set's done. Actually, it has been for a while, but I never got the oppurtunity to post it.

Pre-Turn (150 BC):
-There are still a billion units to move. Elephantium, you're supposed to move them before uploading the save! ;)

IBT:
-In the north, outside of Mustang Canal: Egypt moves their Settler away from next to the iron, giving me a chance to grab it with one of the ones Elephantium left me. Suckers! :D

Turn 1 (130 BC):
-found denver next to the Iron.
-pop hut: get maps.

IBT:
-We get Republic: Set research to Currency, due in 8 (I think).
-Advisor asks for revolt. I decide to stay until turn 2 ends.
-Washington: Sword->Harbor

Turn 2 (110 BC):
-I trade Egypt Republic for Construction, 118 gold, and their WM (all they had that they'd give) The WM doesn't reveal much, but it's better than nothing!
-galley vs. barb galley: barb is at the bottom of the ocean. (1-0)
-Now, I revolt. Draw... 7-turn Anarchy. (the max amount of possible anarchy turns) :mad: [pissed]

IBT:
-Philly riots.

Turn 3 (90 BC):
-Change two unhappy citizens in Philly for remainder of Anarchy (after which I can use the lux slider).
-found Cincinnati in the hole in our territory just outside of Boston, Buffalo, and Detroit.

IBT:
zzz

Turn 4 (70 BC):
-Found Dallas at the tip of the SE penninsula.

IBT:
zzz

Turn 5 (50 BC):
zzz

IBT:
-I see a barb attack Buto, a city north of Denver that was founded by Egypt last turn. the barb one and entered the city. Hmmm...

Turn 6 (30 BC):
-I send an archer inside the culture borders of Buto. Sure enough, it's completely undefended right now. If only I wasn't in anarchy... :mischief:

IBT:
-Cleo complains about the archer. Like I said, I don't want a war in Anarchy, so I say yes.

Turn 7 (10 BC):
-an archer pops literature from a hut.

IBT:
-Houston riots.

Turn 8 (10 AD):
zzz

IBT:
-Philly riots again. Luckily, I emerge into republic now.
-Suicide Galley lost in treacherous waters.

Turn 9 (30 AD):
-I solve Philly and Houston's riots via taxmen, as I don't think two rioting citeis is worth the lux slider.
-An archer attacks a barb in camp, wins, takes the camp. (2-0)

IBT:
zzz

Turn 10 (50 AD):
zzz

IBT:
-Atlanta: Catapult->spear
-Chicago: Galley->spear
-Springfield: Catapult->spear

Turn 11-Turn 12 (70-90 AD):
:sleep:

IBT:
-Washington riots.
-So does Boston.
-Buffalo: Catapult->spear

Turn 13 (110 AD):
-Now it's worth the slider. I set lux to 10% and Science to 40% (it was at 50% before):

IBT:
-The Aztecs ask for a WM trade. Sorry, no.
-NY: Horse->Settler
-Boston: Settler->Spear
-Houston: Catapult->Spear

Turn 14 (130 AD):
:coffee:

IBT:
-Seattle: Horse->Sword
-Ivory Coast: Catapult->spear
-Heleopolis completes the collosus.

Turn 15 (150 AD):
-Egypt has Polytheism! I decide to trade. I trade Literature and Contact w/ the Aztecs for Polt, 5 gold, and their WM.
-I now trade the Aztecs Philosophy and Literature for 135 gold and their WM.

Endturn Screenie:
150AD.JPG

Notes:
-I didn't trade the Aztecs Polytheism, CoL, or Republic, but they have no gold- All they can offer is a WM, which I already got, so we'd essentially be giving them free techs. You can decide whether or not to do this.
-That galley has headed for that goody hut on the island with that Aztec city. I know it will still be there, since I played through the IBT on my computer and it was there next turn, so it will be unless yourt computer plays it different. There were some other importnat things, but that would be spoilering. ;)

What happened with the goody hut? Was it still there? Also, when I played the IBT, I got a palace expansion.
