we need a better way of saying what's a city and what's a town in the resource selection screen

You have to click on your leader portrait, and I think it's the second tab.

"How the hell there is no..." is something I say every few minutes, unfortunately.
Same.. The city-state list has just ridiculously poor implementation at that, it's nothing but a name! No other info, not even what type, much less who has suzerain or influence, etc. Basically useless. Then, since there's no info there you have to click on each one individually, [edit:] it opens the interaction screen, but closes the window at the same time causing a whole other round of clicking..

Agreed, I think saying "Town of [x]" or "City of [x]" would be so much more natural.

Of course, in that example, it should just be "New York" and not "New York City" smh

While I get why its there, I think there need to be a lot less prompts for actions, particularly the reminders to select a town focus.
Yeah this one is annoying. Like yes, I'm aware a specialization is available, but I don't wanna specialize yet.

Probably a long shot, but to me the ideal solution would be a customizable reminder per city. Like for example if a given city has 10 good tiles I want to expand to prior to specializing, I would love the ability to tell the game "please remind me at pop 10". Rather than every single pop-growth.

It would be lovely if I could hover over a wonder and know what it does. And why not put that information on the build animation as well, near the quote?

This is difficult to unsee and I haven't even played the game yet lol... but I'm considering waiting to buy the game until a mod enhance the UI.. or the developers address the problem themselves.

It is rough, only you know your tolerance. That said there is still a lot I like about it. But the UI is really tampering my enthusiasm down to just something I am enjoying playing rather than something I feel I have to play like the last 4 entries did.

Now that I managed to scale the UI, it feel a bit better visually and in distribution.

The main issue is the complete lack of information on A LOT of things, and lacking tooltips. I'm spoiled by nested tooltips from Old World and other games, it's amazing for 4X games. Here, a lot of info you have to remember, and sometimes is hard to understand where penalties or bonuses are coming from.

Also obvious bugs like lacks of UI updates on the city list, meaning that the UI doesn't update after taking an action (for example, repairing a town's tile improvement), leaving the repair option present until you leave the screen or take another action.

When you declare war, there’s no indication of allied civs and city states right? I know if you click into the relationships screen you can see civ alliances, but it’s not readily apparent right?

Already placed Ageless buildings should be marked as such in the tooltip while hovering on the map or overbuilding, at least by that hourglass icon, or else you risk to screw up your unique quarter, like I did in a couple of my cities. Without that it is a clickety click to the Civilopedia and back again, just to check if the building is ageless or not, while you haven’t yet memorised that.

There's no way to dismiss notifications (the icons on the left) on controller. Some will stick around through the entire age.

Also some information regarding where yields are coming from when hovering over tiles.

I noticed this in one of the first previews, how obvious stuff like that isn’t in the game is beyond me.
This whole time I just assumed non ageless buildings just stopped giving you their yields. I’m sure they specify somewhere that they don’t, but the fact that there’s no “Lose 4 Culture” text doesn’t help.

Am I blind, or is there no info about possible trade routes and their limits with each civilization?

As far as I am aware, the only way to access such info is by clicking on a merchant.

Anyway, I've got another one: Please give me the information of how long the 'form alliance' action is still on cooldown.

What I want to end is this fetish Firaxis has with tile counting. When placing a train station, I need to know if it will be close enough to another train station for it to work. If I select a settler, give me the city radius and connected settlements highlight.

The re-appearing of notifications on the right side of the screen, which takes like half a second per notification, is very annoying, in particular because it goes top to bottom. I want to be able to click on the bottom notification immediately after exiting whatever screen I was in. It should either appear bottom to top, or just all at the same time.
