My Review of Civilization 6

Nothing about NOT being able to name yourself. Nothing about naming cities. Wow. Are all you guys paid not to point out the things that have been in Civ games forever but suddenly omitted for no reason??

This is why I don`t trust these excitable reviews on release. I`ve learned to wait, wait, wait. The best things come to he who waits.

Let me know when those things are back and I`ll buy the game.

Firstly I was not paid to write this review, and second I didn't mention those changes because I never had the need to use them, so I don't really care if they are in or not as it did not change my enjoyment of the game at all

You don't trust reviews because they don't mention small details that 99% of players never use or care about?

Even if I did care about naming cities (I don't), I also would realize that this is the very first build and things like that develop in patches as the developers get feedback from the crowd.

Then his review is no good.

Oh but of course.

ANYHOW, I thought you review was well written, bite; better than those reviews that ARE paid for to write, heh. I'm not understanding many of the systems in the partial game I've played so far so I'm not sure if the shortcoming is on me or the game's UI. I agree that so far though it's pretty darn good out-of-the-box. Better than any of Civs III through V.

No no, you're totally right. These omission of these two tiny features with zero gameplay impact definitely outweighs the rest of the game as a whole.

C'mon bite, we expect you to talk about the important issues.

With great sadness I must admit my oversight of not mentioning something I didn't know was not there because I never used it, as punishment I will now go and play some more Civilization 6

Do you always ignore the quality of the cake, because in one little place the decoration on the icing isn't perfect?

The punishment fits the crime. Justice has been done.

Nice review. A bit short, but overall nicely done. You didn't talk about Barbs at all, and quite a few other things in Civ 6, but it's certainly clear you like the game a great deal.

I have emerged from the rabbit hole I fell down to post my review, now if you excuse me I need to go back down the hole and play some more Civ

My Review
Brilliant review!

By the way, may I ask what graphics settings is that in your screenshot, because the sea texture is really really vibrant. My GTX 560 Ti just gives me medium graphics:undecide:

CIV 6 is really beautiful and rich in contents. I like it a great deal.

Fortunatly my PC Rig is good enough to run them on high

Should a predominantly single player strategy game get 4/5 when the A.I cannot play.

I actually play Civ about 50/50 single/multi player, and I found the AI can play the game quite well or not, like human players

I didn't know that Civ games is "naming simulator", because I have never used it.

And most people never play Deity either. It doesn't mean it should not be in the game. Naming yourself and your civ were the first things you did in all the previous iterations, for instance.
