My take on stuff

Nope, but I have a version on my comp that is, I could upload it if you were interested.

Edit:
@colonelflag: I uploaded the most "up to date" version of the modmod for you.

The tech cost math change seen in the latest SVN didn't unbalance tech cost in my modmod noticeably, at least in early prehistoric the costs are almost unchanged.
I don't know what happens with balance after the prehistoric, as I haven't really modded much beyond the scope of the prehistoric era yet.

Great thanks Toffer90 i'll give it a bash ! Appreciate the quick response.

Cheers

Cool, hope you'll find some of my ideas interesting. And remember, think of it as a DEMO, not a finished product. ^^

Toffer's C2C modmod v0.1.6.8.1 - SVN Rev.9884
Updated to include changes and be compatible with latest SVN version; took me two whole day of intense work to finally get this modmod updated to latest rev.
Nothing new was added to the modmod in this update.

N.B. This modmod is not compatible with my interface overhaul modmod.
A patch will be made very soon.

Made a patch for my interface overhaul modmod.

My Take on Stuff v0.1.6.8.2 - SVN 9890
  • Fixed a bug that made the "Upscaled Unit and Building cost" Game Option always active.
  • Made the "Upscaled Unit and Building cost" option visible in the custom game option list.

Probably a stupid question but the install order would be Interface Overhaul, this modmod, and then the Interface Overhaul Patch?

Sorry and thank you. Missed the last part of that statement, modding while suffering a lack of sleep is a bad idea.

Love this modmod, it makes the first era a lot more interesting. Good job.

No doubt it would be it would just as incredible.

Using this modmod, there's no date on the screen (upper right corner, with the clock). Is intended? How can I enable it again?

I compared with main mod file and I think I did it, it shows now, time will tell if I have broken any other thing XD.

I have another question about this modmod, I researched the tech for building the National Wonder "Captured Fire", but I can't build it despite not having any requeriments. I haven't build any other wonders (palace?). My city is still 1 pop, does it need to grow more to build a National Wonder or may it be bugged?

The only thing I can think of is that you may have reached you maximum national wonder limit for your culture level.
Otherwise, you should be able to build it...

Do you play with "No wonder limit" ?
What's your current culture level?
Have you invented "fire making"? (would obsolete the captured fire NW)

btw. The "Palace" doesn't count towards the national wonder limit.

I don't play with "No wonder limit"
My city is just pop 1 with 9 workable tiles (just the first expansion on culture)
I haven't build any other wonder or national wonder, though Palace is in wonders tab

The national wonder limit information in the city screen should say something like " NW: 0/1 ", is this the case?

Nope. Right now I have:
G.W: 0/1
N.W: 1/1

So it is counting the Palace as a N.W.?

In unmodded C2C, I have at start of a new game:
N.W: 0/2
G.W: 0/1
In modded C2C, starting a new game (same map and settings):
N.W: 0/0
G.W: 0/0

So it is counting the Palace as a N.W.?
Could you upload the save, I'll have to investigate this further. The palace should not count towards the NW limit.

btw. I decided to set the NW and WW limit to zero for the starting culture when "city start with only one culture tile" game option is selected.
Without the option you skip the culture level "None" and go straight to the culture level "Poor" which has a limit of 1 NW and WW.
