Architects are rare - maybe one percent of the population - and show the greatest precision in thought and speech of all the types. They tend to see distinctions and inconsistencies instantaneously, and can detect contradictions no matter when or where they were made. It is difficult for an Architect to listen to nonsense, even in a casual conversation, without pointing out the speaker's error. And in any serious discussion or debate Architects are devastating, their skill in framing arguments giving them an enormous advantage. Architects regard all discussions as a search for understanding, and believe their function is to eliminate inconsistencies, which can make communication with them an uncomfortable experience for many.

Ruthless pragmatists about ideas, and insatiably curious, Architects are driven to find the most efficient means to their ends, and they will learn in any manner and degree they can. They will listen to amateurs if their ideas are useful, and will ignore the experts if theirs are not. Authority derived from office, credential, or celebrity does not impress them. Architects are interested only in what make sense, and thus only statements that are consistent and coherent carry any weight with them.

Architects often seem difficult to know. They are inclined to be shy except with close friends, and their reserve is difficult to penetrate. Able to concentrate better than any other type, they prefer to work quietly at their computers or drafting tables, and often alone. Architects also become obsessed with analysis, and this can seem to shut others out. Once caught up in a thought process, Architects close off and persevere until they comprehend the issue in all its complexity. Architects prize intelligence, and with their grand desire to grasp the structure of the universe, they can seem arrogant and may show impatience with others who have less ability, or who are less driven.

I took a much more elaborate version as a freshman in college, and that identified me as INFP. I was happy with that, even though the test said that almost no successful engineering students were INFP. So I graduated Summa Cum Laude just to prove them wrong.

This little mini test calls me INTJ. Whatever.

I am me, and I will still be me regardless of what box some test tries to put me into.

The valuable result of taking that test back in college was learning that introverts are not anti-social. The idea expressed was that an extrovert is energised by interacting with people, whereas an introvert expends energy to interact with people. An introvert enjoys the interaction, but needs time alone to recharge. That idea, of making sure I get my time alone to recharge, has been invaluable.

Hmmm.... I feel as if I somewhat fit what it gave me

So, ladies and gentlemen, the Myers-Briggs personality test. A test made by the psychologists Myers and Briggs (hence the name) who were so immensely arrogant that they thought they would be able to divide humanity into 16 distinct personality types, who can each be categorised by 4 into 4 groups which form the base of our human society. As discussions, both here on CFCOT and elsewhere, have been made regarding whether this is actually feasible and if it how realiable it is, the Myers-Briggs test is not without its controversy. However, it's very interesting nonetheless, I personally have had many conversations with people of all walks of life regarding this test.

So, here's the link, hope all of you enjoy, and for those who know their result, from this test or from previous ones, please vote in the poll!

I'm an ENFP, by the way. (though until very recently an INFP)

It's also based on the work of Carl Jung, who was a fruitcake nutcase of the highest order. I have scored either an INTJ or ENTJ, seemingly depending on the test and my mood.

And, I say this test is :):):):):):):):). I don't have a personality.
I said something similar in one of the other threads on this subject. :D

Now here are my previous results on this test.
I am close. I am an ENFP, just like in the previous thread, which I did not realise that I started.

Your Personality type is ENFP "The Journalist"

Only the Thinking/Felling one is not a majority.

ENFPs have a tendency to overextend themselves in both their physical and emotional commitments. Their proclivity to procrastinate and to overlook details complicates their circumstances. ENFPs often move on to new ventures without completing those they have already started. Their charming personalities can show signs of irritability and over-sensitivity when their desires to please different people come into conflict. During times of stress, ENFPs feel alienated. They then engage in deceptions that serve to obscure what is occurring within themselves.

The ENFP finds symbolic meanings behind the immediate circumstances. These meanings are construed as foreboding problems when ENFPs are under stress. Having a pervasive feeling of losing control over their own independent identities, ENFPs will feel virtually split apart by intruding circumstances. They will be "besides themselves" and "just not all there" — as if something, or someone, has taken away the essence of who they are. Not feeling like themselves, the ENFP will become subject to their own feelings of shame for being a phony, a fake or an impostor. If stress continues to grow, they may attribute malevolent schemes to others in order to explain away their fears.

This lists represent careers and jobs people of your type tend to enjoy doing. The job requirements are similar to the personality tendencies of your personality type. It is important to remember that this is not a list of all the jobs possible. And it is very important to remember that people can, and frequently do, fill jobs that are dissimilar to their personality... this happens all the time...and sometimes works out quite well.

As you can tell the one that I tend to chance is the sensing part so I sometimes go to the Intuitive part, but the others are certain that I am that.

ENFP - The Champion

You scored 54% I to E, 36% N to S, 42% F to T, and 57% J to P!
Your type is known as the Champion type, which is part of the larger group called idealists. Nothing occurs that does not have some deep and ethical significance in your eyes. You see life as an exciting drama. You are very charismatic, yet tend to be too harsh on yourself for not being as genuine as you think you should be. 3% of the population shares your type.
As a romantic partner, you need to talk about what is going on in your life. You are a strong supporter for your partner's efforts to grow and change and be happy. You need to feel that same support from your partner. Expressive, optimistic, and curious, you are eager to enjoy new experiences with your partner, whom you wish to be your confidant and soul mate, as well as play mate. You are uncomfortable sharing negative emotion, though, and tend to withdraw from confrontation and process your feelings privately. You feel most loved when your partner appreciates your creativity, accepts your uniqueness, and sees you as the compassionate person you are. You need to hear your partner tell you how much you mean to them and would love if they did thoughtful spontaneous things to demonstrate it.
Your group summary: idealists (NF)
Your type summary: ENFP

You scored higher than 68% on I to E
You scored higher than 43% on N to S
You scored higher than 41% on F to T
You scored higher than 61% on J to P

As you can see I have previously tested both for ENFP and ESFP, so that means I am at the border for the Intuitive and sensing part of the test. Here is my latest result.
