Hey, I was wondering if there's a Naruto mod around here? If there isn't, then I'm asking my fellow Naruto-fans who can mod to create one. :bowdown:

Of course, I can be contacted for any advice you might want regarding civs, units, maps, leaders, plot, buildings, leader heads for your leaders; etc!!

EDIT: Lol, I decided to just post my ideas here. I don't mind anyone using my ideas and creating a mod-pack (or just the UNIT, LEADER, etc.) but I ask that you send me a link to your mod pack or tread. A mod is meant to be enjoyed by everybody. ;)
 
Ok so I search for it and couldn't find it so here are my ideas. I haven't filled everything in so the spots that are ?? or blanks are reserved. NOTE! Nothing is set in stone and if you disagree with what I have written here just tell me!

GAMEPLAY

RANKS

I've been a little thorn about what to do with the ranks but for now I've settled on a promotion system. As your unit battles more and more, it gets experience. With that experience, you can buy promotions. For every tech you research, new promotions become available - hence the names. Of course, different units have access to different promotions.

SPECIALISTS

Eventually, one of your units will have accumulated a lot of experience. In that case, you can choose between either keep putting him in fights or settle him down in the city as a Specialist. Specialists provide an amount of experience depending on their respective promotions. Also, Spy Specialists give a Counter-Espionage effect. Specialists retain the ability to produce a Great Ninja person.

UNIT VISIBILITY

You can't see foreign Ninja (unless of course you have a pact with that nation) unless you have one of your own Ninja in a tile next to it. However, the stronger the Unit is (in terms of promotions) the easier it is to notice another Unit. Also, Units can fortify themselves which give them visibility bonuses for every turn that passes. Spies positioned in foreign cities also have the ability to uncover Unit positions.

SPIES
Spies have the ability to catalog strong Units and post it in the Civ's "Bingo Book". This will allow Civs to customize a Unit specifically for a strong Unit. They also have the ability to uncover what kind of specialists a city has. This allows further specialization against a certain Civ. That's info you get from a spy by just leaving it in a city. However, at any time you can choose to give it one of these missions:

Create unhappinness,
Create sickness,
Create revolt;
Counter-espionage (against spies in your own territory);
Find Unit placement;
Destroy the Kage Tower (can only be done in capital city)

As you go further down the list, you require more and more points.
 
Errrr, isn't Naruto a meh anime show about a bunch of ninja's? How exactly will that be turned into a mod?

I dunno :D. But the mod is just gonna be based on it (leaders, civs, units, etc). I don't have any scenarios thought up in my head or whatever.

Maybe what I'm doing shouldn't really be called a mod? It's just a new-modified game play with new units, promotion system, tech tree, civs, etc that has been based on Naruto.

It's not really meant to be solely for Naruto fans.

Basicaly, what I'm asking is will the mod have any ulterior purpose besides replacing the stuff with Naruto things? Also, I do know Naruto does have a storyline, so will you be working that in at all along with their ninja moves?

Just replace stuff for now. But like I said, I'm open to suggestions.
 
I suspect not. I've never heard of it or seen a download, and it doesn't look like they ever got serious. And...

I am very very very extremely very late here considering that this was a thread abt civ4, but would it count if i said I already had my own pack of naruto mods being made for civ6? (Leaf, Sand and Cloud are already out.... I'm working on the Mist rn)

Also i believe someone made a mod for a map of the naruto world and a civ for the Hyuga clan for civ 5
