Natural Selection II

Anyone here heard of Natural Selection 2? It's a sequel to a Half-Life 2 mod, but unlike the original mod which requires a Source game to play, NS2 is stand-alone and runs on it's own engine. I don't typically play FPS games for PC much anymore, but this game reminds me of Aliens and the gameplay looks like a lot of fun.

I'm interested. I've been watching the official class guides on the devs' webpage. I'm also a pretty big fan of Tremulous (Tremulus.net), though I haven't played that in several years.

The only thing I don't like about this type of game is that they're basically room shooters, and the rooms are a bit claustrophobic. I also kind of like the Tremulous alien ideas a bit better though the flying, gas-bomber alien is pretty cool.

Since indie FPS games are easily hit-or-miss in quality, I'm waiting for a free weekend or demo version before I decide to put money down on it.
