Need a Leaderhead? Nows your chance

Here's yet another request, this time an era specific leaderhead for Hungary,
Matthias Corvinus:

I'll repeat my request for Saladin!

Check out the funky headgear...

As you no doubt know, Saladin - or, properly, Salah al-Din Yusuf bin Ayub - was a Kurdish general who became vizier of Egypt in 1169 or thereabouts, and proceeded to run the place as if he were the sultan himself. He ended the Fatimid hegemony over Egypt and established the Ayubbid dynasty in its place, and conquered pretty much all of the Middle East, including Mecca, Medina, Damascus and Jerusalem. He's famous in the west partly because he was a mighty military commander whom the Christian Crusaders could never defeat, and partly because he was famously merciful and chivalrous, so much so that he was the only Muslim leader they really respected. There was even a legend that King Richard the Lionheart of England knighted him. I suppose he was a bit like Rommel in WWII, who was well regarded even by the Allies as an honourable man even though he was on the "wrong" side.

I don't need Saladin to be era-specific, but I suspect he might be quite popular anyway as he's a major figure, so it would be nice to be era-specific if possible.

I shall also second the request for Ashurbanipal. I've been fan of his ever since I saw his reliefs in the British Museum, depicting him winning all his battles single-handedly. Official title: King of the Universe.

OK, this one is way out there, but might be useful for some of the fantasy modes/scenarios. How about Prince Acroyear of the Acroyears (from micronauts)? If you did an albino version it could be his brother Shaitan.

P.S. Sorry the pictures aren't better, they are the best I could find.

EDIT: Pictures removed

Just curious Pounder, why do you want a greek to be leader of the Egyptians? ^ ^;;

It's like saying that Caesar was Troyan... or Etruscan.

I would love a LH of Octavianus Augustus and/or Czar Peter the Great. Era-specific or Single-Era, as you wish. Can't even say Firaxis' Catherine, even if horrible, should be remade. The portrait is actually quite close... check here: http://stud.iuav.it/~soft/paginarte/pittori/lampi/Image23.jpg

onedreamer-Cleopatra wasnt greek, she was from the greek line of conquerors who ruled egypt after alexander. Cleopatra is even a Greek name I think. And if her family followed the old Egyptian royal custom of marring your brother or sister she doesnt have any egyptian blood. ^ ^;; not to mention she was the reason for her countrys fall. Although i bet if she wasnt pretty ceaser would have conqured egypt before Octavianus.

Cleopatra wasn't the reason of her country's fall... at least not the only one. The Tolemaic dynasty lasted 300 years with Cleo. According to your reasoning, most american people cannot consider themselves americans... at least not if they haven't mixed their blood with native americans.
My belief is that if you were born and grew up in a country, and your mother before you, and the mother of your mother before her, and the grandma' of your mom before her... well I believe you can very well consider yourself part of that country.

Surely nationality isn't all about race. After all, who would deny that Louis Armstrong was American? Obviously Cleopatra wasn't ethnically Egyptian, and she represented a ruling dynasty of foreign origin. But for heaven's sake, so does Elizabeth II!

Anyway, I think we have enough Cleopatras knocking around. Personally I quite like the original one, which I think is quite pretty, but I seem to be in a minority over this. Still, it's up to ShiroKobbure!

[EDIT] - Simulposted with onedreamer. But we both said the same thing, so it must be true!

Cleo was greek no matter what you say you cant deny it, ethnically she was greek. Although they odopted the culture and her nationality is Egypt she is still a greek. In my eyes it would be like having kubli khan ruling the chinese in civ 3, he considered himself chinese ruler, he wore chinese clothing but he was a mongol.Since civ 3 starts at the dawn of civilization to me its odd to see a Greek ruling Egypt. But im Japanese and since Japan was founded it was ruled by Japanese (with a steady immagration of koreans) but for the most part Japan has been ruled by Japanese and if a forgin ruling took over I dont think Japanese people would ever consider him japanese even if his family ruled for 400 years. I think thats the difference with america and the west. There is no such thing as an american(USA) race. So im not going to argue about it, we just things differently due to our upbringings. For further notice if you disagree with my postings here please PM me its easier for me to sort through requests when there is only requests in it (and my comments ^ ^;;) once agian im sorry if I seem disagreeable, but its just my view. Keep Requesting leaderheads!! I want many to choose from haha and theres no limit to how many you can request

If someone wants a good replacement for Cleopatra...how about Ramses II? Kinboat made a single era one, and Unexisted was going to make a Era-specific one(after I won his Leaderhead Lottery), but he got way to busy to make it.

Plus he'd be an excellilent nemisis for the Israeli Civ in my mod.... :mischief:

OK...request #2

Ratman/Skaven whatever you want to call it.

ratman/skaven? ^ ^;; what?

Its from Warhammer Fantasy...I'm still looking for a good graphic to base it off of, maybe someone who knows more about Warhammer can post a link to it.

I have to second Vlad Tepes....Although he is not the greatest ruler or one with the most impact (so don't even bring it up as an argument), he was still one of the most exciting, and interesting.

Douglas MacArthur, Single Era, with his trademark Crushed Hat and Corncob pipe....

I shouldn't have to post a Bio... but Big Mac was the Supreme Allied Commander of the Pacific in World War II, but, more importantly for What I need him for, head of United Nations Forces in Korea from the conflict's begining to April 1951, when he was fired by U.S. President, Harry S. Truman, for defying his orders.
