hi guys,
just joined up. been reading your site non stop for days . lots of great info.
ok basically i bought civ 4 years ago when it came out. played one long 8 hour game, enjoyed it but never had the urge to play it ever again. bought civ 5 ( btw im not usually a pc gamer) as it was on sale a few weeks ago.. and loved it! so yesterday i went on steam and dl the gold upgrade and pre ordered BNW on gmg.
Im after a few pdf/video guides i can download and read on my ipad when not connected to the net. im very much a beginner, i play through on the first 2 difficulty settings..still getting to grips with it all. mainly play atm for military victory but after i get to know the ins and outs of it all ill try the other styles.
but yeah.. id really appreciate some sort of link to on here or somewhere on the net for a pdf downloads on things like detailed guides on all the civs, buildings etc etc, guide to victories certain ways, multiplayer, everything pretty much

i do a lot of reading on ipad while away from civilization (:king:) camping most weekends, so having these guides on there would be very helpful. i dont necessarily mean an official guide ( tried last night on brady website, wouldnt let me cause i dont live in the US), if there are downloads on here i can use it would be even better.

anyway go easy on me, im new to civ :D

cheers

no one knows of any pdf guide, similar to a brady games strategy guide but non official i could download and read on my ipad? it would be really helpful.

if not, if there a really thorough guide on here? i might be able to convert it to pdf myself and upload it to my ipad.

thanks in advance:scan:

there have been a lot of guides with varying value as expansions and patches have come out. basically there are 4 (5 really--but Time victory is the least discussed) victory paths, each with their differences on how to do them best. many of the guides will feel tailored to specific ones but the general strategy idea is often looked at with the 4-city Tradition game found here.

After you understand the terminology and short-hand, etc. it will make much more sense. im unfamiliar with PDF resources but war academy is available if you have the game on your tablet/pad. you could also just save some text/web pages individually for later reading.
