Need dependable player(s) for RTW v1.2 beta 3...

If we are starting in 1936 I definitely prefer the open mode - and I'm sure Lutar and Taint will as well - otherwise we will have quite a bit of thumb twirling going on as we build up our armies/infrastructure due to the rigidity of "historical mode"

The point for Germany in open? World domination of course - what else ;)

Did we ever hear back from "USSR"??
 
Yes, I think I have email addresses for everyone now, so I have six players confirmed.

ANother way to think of this: Historical Mode has hard-coded team play (win as a team, lose as a team, combined research once alliance is activated), Open Mode is a free-for-all.
 
Shogu, you would have to download the latest update to this scenario, v1.2 beta3, and confirm that you can run it ASAP. Countries available for Open Play are Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Canada, Yugoslavia, Poland, Norway, Finland, the other small countries probably aren't viable. No countries currently available for Historical Mode if we have to go with that.
 
Yes i can run it , and got dissatisfied that pacific is as a different scenario and can't play japan .

I sent the first turn to Germany (dwhee) on Weds. Apr. 2. I PMed him on Friday morning, but have not heard anything. How long do we wait before reassigning?
 
OK, still no word...

So here is my proposal: if I don't hear anything by Monday evening, I will restart the game with 5 players. I will take Germany unless someone else really wants it -- there seems to be an issue with this scenario for the game-admin needing to take the first country, which is Germany (the order of play cannot be changed). Yes, this was possibly an issue with Dwhee, but since I have not heard from him it is becoming a moot point. If someone else wants Germany, then they will likely have to be the one to start the new PBEM.

If you have any problems/suggestions with this, now is the time.

confirmed that lutar has the turn - he was fiddling with the patch last night so i presume i will get the turn today - hopefully after the first turn we can get into a daily routine
 
Sorry for not coming through guys. My computer died a couple weeks ago and I had completely forgotten about signing up for this game.

So yeah, cancel the war. Hitler's computer crashed. :(
