Neo Nes 2: Nes Reloaded

The death of Emperor Napoleon Tell

"Railroads?" asked the old emperor. "Why do we need railroads?"
"But sire", said the domestic advisor, "everyone else are building them. We cannot be the only nation without railroads, others will consider us primitive!"
"hmmm..." mumbeled Napoleon Tell. He couldn't keep his toughts together; he was once again thinking about the old days. The days when he had a mind sharp enough to make decisions without consulting his advisors (actually he didn't even use to have advisors). Now he, a 90-year-old emperor, was surrounded by these legions of liers and opportunists. Actually, there was only one man in his squad of advisors he could trust... Emperor gazed at another old man. Colonel Pierre, his military advisor. Pierre was his newest advisor, but still the emperor felt that Pierre was the only one who he could trust - perhaps because Pierre was only about 10 years younger than the emperor while his other advisors were in their 40's and 50's. Or perhaps he trusted Pierre because he had had so much experience on everything: Pierre had been there when France advanced in Africa, Pierre had seen the cold Siberian wind and spend decades as the principal of the Marseilles War Academy.

"Colonel Pierre, my military advisor, tell me your opinion. Is it safe for our economy to build these railroads?"
"But emperor", shouted the domestic advisor. "I don't think that a military advisor is really an expert in economical issues..."
"BE SILENT!" the emperor shouted. His eyes were shining out of anger, and for a moment he looked as if he had been 30 years younger. But the shine went away from his eyes quickly; if he had been younger he would have probably killed his domestic advisor with his own hands for being so cocky towards the emperor, but those days were long gone...
"Emperor", colonel Pierre responded, "I believe that we need all the money we can get to help our noble soldiers who are fighting against the Japanese in Siberia. As much as I would like the thought of having railroads, building them might cost us the victory of that war."

"Then so be it", the emperor said and walked started to walk away slowly. But before he went away from the throne room, he turned towards his advisors and said: "You know, I build this empire out of nothing. When I came to power, this country was run by dress-clowns! We were the joke of the world!"
Then he walked away for good. And all his advisors had the same thought in their mind: "that man is not going to live for long..."

Two weeks later Emperor Napoleon Tell, later known as Napoleon the Great, died while he was sleeping. His son would be crowned as an emperor soon, but until that Napoleon Tell's advisors would run the country - and they decided to follow the emperor's last wish of not building railroads or any other expensive constructions until the war against Japan would be over.

Unfortunately it is not our wish to give up the Spanish lands we so bloodily fought for. Building railroads is a great idea, but we will wait until our war with Japan will be over, because right now our economy cannot support both.

Ghandi heard the worst news from all around the empire and the report about russian bastards moving troops to attack india didnt suprise him. he laughed :) those idiots will pay. we are expecting them. he did send the most bloodthirsty generals at the russian front. they were using scary tactics and the advancing russians would have to pay every single sqaure with 100 russians. the following counter attack will blast the russians back to the gates of moscow.
the russian didnt send declaration of war, but ghandi didnt expected something like this from a pack of backwoodmen.however the fact that the indian army was very small and scattered all around the empire frightend ghandi and his generals. only the great moral of the boys and the great generals of the indian army could crush the advancing hordes.

FuManSchu and Emu! CFC is not a fight ground! find somwhere else to fight this stupied word war...

Hansson returned to Stockholm one day before schedule, he did not wish to meet with an army of reporters right after he had been fighting an army of Germans. The Scandinavian peoples reaction was mixed, some were glad the war was over with out Scandinavia loosing land. Some were mad that Scandinavia accepted a peace treaty at prewar borders, but most were just glad it was over. But it wasn't really over. Sure, there was peace with germany but Arabia had attacked Greece and Scandinavia needed to react swiftly.

Scandinavias economy was higher then ever and it was decided to expand the railroads. It would surely bring fortune to the nordic peoples. Some conservatives were sceptical about the ideas, but had been proven wrong by the test railways in north Sweden and Finland.

But when all theese decisions were made, who was to lead the expeditionary force in to Arabia?

General Larsson? To weak, he did not have what it took to wage a cruel war far away from home, though he could be quite ingenious at times.

General Svensson? A blood thirst animal, would destroy a town at the drop of a hat. We could not have such a man fight a war on Greek lands.

So the answer was quite clear; general Perkele was to lead the expeditionary force (SEF) with Svensson and Larsson as his second in command.

Perkele was to lead the forces south trough Poland. Some though it would be to risky, and that the Germans might try to stop them. Perkele had no such concerns. He knew that Bismarck had given his permission to move south and that even if some stray forces would try to stop them they would simply over run them. No, what did concern Perkele was why Bismarck had allowed them to move through Poland...
