In the northern wastes, there lived a people removed from the world. They were nomadic, hunting and surviving where ever it was best for them. Yet, every summer they would gather at a single spot in the wastes, where it was said that the Blue Sky created the spirits and Earth. Where the Wolf and the Deer were made, and a single human child born from their union, and into the world.
This place was called Kenaz. It was the holy ground of the small group of people that made were born into the cold wastes, and died in the wastes. A simple people, perhaps, but a strong one. It was at Kenaz that they traded their goods, and traded their tales from the long winter. Many had not returned to the small tribal gathering, but that was expected in such unforgiving lands.
"The Hunt has been good to us. The Sky clears, and the Heaven calls to us. We have been blessed this year," remarked one of the few older men who still managed to gather at Kenaz.
"It is not enough. Traveled far have I to the South, where the sun is warm upon my face, and food is plentiful. Traveled far back to this place to tell of it. Sad that I did," remarked a relatively young man.
The eyes of the two met, glistering in the fire light in the cold camp, as barters made in silence occured around them. Nothing more was said, as the cold was not kind to those who attempted to much at once. A few minutes later, the old man spoke again.
"My name Yeza, of Rock Point," said the old man bluntly.
"Kret, of the Bear," responded the young man.
"What did you see in travels?" asked the Elder man.
"I saw great beasts to west, and warm in south. Beasts were large, wholly creatures. Very slow. Easy to kill in hunt. Good meat. Wander though, hard to keep track of," remarked the young man. He took out a piece of frozen meat from his pouch, placing it on the fire. The Old man looked on in interest.
"Capture some of these animals, we must. Give us food for winter. Allow us to move with food," remarked Yeza, with interest in his wisened eyes. A similar gleam began to shine in Kret's eyes as well, as he thought of the possibilities.
"Hide be good to trade, good to wear against cold, I think. Yes, domesticate these beasts we must."
So it was decided, and the two new partners set out to gather all the people, and tell them of their plan. The formerly scattered people immediately began to see the advantages, and quickly threw their goods and time behind the project. It began events that would set in motion the union of the tribe, the establishment of a formal religion, and perhaps much later, an empire.

((By the way, the grammer is purposefully bad. They are very primative, so I represented them as such))
