NES Diplomacy Game, again?

Wow, I'd be in this in a heartbeat if I wasn't running my own NES and in 3 others, too. I need to read the rules, too.

Consider me in for the second game.

No matter what, this is going to be baptism by fire. So why does it matter which one I am? I'm still going to try - it's just that it doesn't really matter which one I am because I'm just going to play it my way.

Let me read the rules. What nations are still open?

Any. Send in your preferences, for example, you say:

I want:

-Austria
-ITaly
-Russia
-Germany
-Turkey
-France
-England

Meaning you want Austria as your main guy, BUT if someone send in for Austria before you, you get the next one, Italy, and if someone has that, you get Russia, and so on.

Can someone explain NAO to MjM?

EDIT: Basically, NAO was started by people saying "Update NAO" when mods had delayed an update for too long. So me and Silver Steak took the term and made it into N.A.O. (we haven't decided on what the O stands for yet, though,) which is pretty much an annoying group that randomly bothers mods to finish their updates.
