The Kaiser looked upon his capital was at the moment enjoying his five minutes of lounging around. He looked out his window at Vienna, his beautiful city.

There is no way I shall let these..these...barbaric warriors take my country!

He had pleaded for peace. That was the platform he ran on. Peace. Prosperity for Europe. An end to warfare. He was laughed at, if not publicly then inwardly.

Peace? As if.

So this was it. He was a pacifist, but now he would be forced to defend his kingdom.

That will be fun.

A map of Europe was still fresh in his mind from studying it until his eyeballs were sore and bloodshot to the point of being able to scare small children. His precious kingdom, Austria-Hungary, was nicely located in the middle of the continent. People would fight to take it from him. He would probably be crushed quickly. But he had to try. For his country.

The Kaiser knew this would be hard. But he had to attempt it.

Burn out, not fade away.

Austria would be great, or it wouldn't exist. It was as simple as that.
