NES game Concepts for newbies

Basically, you have an amount of economy you can spend each turn. You can spend it on military, education, building things, and all of that.

You do things by sending orders to a MODERATOR (not the CFC moderators, the person who started the NES), who will summarize everything everyone did in an UPDATE. Then you can engage in diplomacy with other nations in the NES, and eventually send orders for the next update.

Actually, it's greatly appreciated when ANYONE joins a NES, if it's under the player maximum. It makes the game so much more fun.

You can join anywhere that doesn't already have a coloured nation. Maybe unite some barbarian tribes into a nation. It's your call.

The best way to learn (how to play) is to join a NES in progress.

you can take over an NPC nation, my advice is to not take over a very strong one though, but don't pick the weakest nation either, just a nation where you can sit back and look at whats going on and still be part of the game (as in you don't have to go to war or nothin)

Iggy is a really good Mod, but I stand by my constant suggestion for new players, join StkNES5. It is quite far along, but in my opinion it is the best NES for new players. There are a good number of middle power states, as well as a necessity for more players. Kamilian is also a dedicated Mod who is fare in his decisions, he is also very helpful. StkNES5 was my first NES as well as Iggy's if I am correct. I seem to remember it being Kentharu's first as well, but don't take my word for that. There is also at least one new NESer in it, so you wouldn't be alone. If you wanted a descent strength level as well as a guarantee of protection I would join as Tanzania or Kenya, which are nations that used to be Israelite colonies but emerged as independent naitons allied with Israel, the strongest nation currently. Also, Iggy's NES is a bit of an experiment if I remember correctly in a new type of NES where the map is gradually revealed. As a first time NESer I would suggest joining a more traditional NES, like StkNES5. However, in the end my suggestion would be to join both. Iggy really is a very good Mod and a very helpful one, so joining his NES would be a good idea, but joining StkNES5 in my opinion would be an even better idea.

Luckymoose, prettymuch everything Israelite said is good advice. Join StKNES5 to learn the ways of the NES first. Once you've got the hang of that, please feel free to join mine. Or you can join mine right away.
