It was a very sunny day. Some would even call it a warm day. The first warm day of Spring. Lincoln was out in the forests outside of Philadelphia, resting from the hard works of being king and running such a country. However, he did bring his papers to read how the country was expanding.

The Carribean was a success, the Americans now occupy every single island there. 6,000 American troops were spread throughout the Carribean, keeping peace and setting up American buisnesses and cities. The islands would soon become just as industrialized, or as rural, as America. The first part of Operation Manifest Destiny was complete. He had already heard of his friends the Brits colonizing Australia. While America had no plans for the annexation of Australia, neighboring islands such as New Zealand and Guinea were in the plans for American annexation. Already troops and 10 fleets had been dispatched to these islands. America would soon enough own some footholds in Asia so that the American word would be heard all over the world.

Lincoln was also pleased with the alliance he forged between the three superpowers of America; United States, England and the United Nations of America. He felt that someday these nations would become the powers of the world.

By July 28 the preparations for the final battle were in order. The British, under General Hamilton were ready to take Edmonton. King Henry sent a message later that day. It asked for the British withdraw, before Canadian wrath would push them out. General Hamilton laugherd at the reguest.

In the morning of July 30 the drum rolls of both British and Canadian forces could be heard for miles around. Thousands of soldiers were about to clash in the battle that would decide the fate of Canada. General Hamilton had thought this battle through and it would be the first battle on open ground in a field. As such he could bring the full power of his cavalry and artillary onto the Canadians.

The plan was quite simple, but it would still be effective. The near 1000 Cavalry would strike on the Canadian left flank. Meanwhile the British held a nearby hill, allowing complete user of their artillary. 3000 Soldiers would encounter the Canadians at first while 4000 striked at the Canadian right flank.

The Canadians on the otherhand had a plan of their own. Several hundread militia would strike behind the British lines and try and disrupt their supplies and artillary, as well as confuse them. Then the whole of the Canadian army, 7000 troops would launch a full out charge and destroy the British forces.

Around 7:00 am on July 30 the milita began their raid. All of a sudden out of the forest behind the British HQ came a charging band of fighters. Disorginzied they attacked the HQ while leaving the near defenseless cannons untouched, a fatal mistake.

General Hamilton, at that time away inspecting Colonel Jones' regiment, the one leading the centre`. The Canadians burned the house to the ground only to kill a few sergents. British soldiers soon came to inspect the fire and were attacked by the milita. General Hamilton wasn't at all worried. He pulled aside only 500 troops from the right flank to go rid of the militia. The Canadians soon noticed the cannons but it was too late. Captain Johnson, leader of the battalion of British soldiers sent to stop them attacked the Canadian forces.

The militia was out numbered 2 to 1 and their plan had failed. The battle went on for only 12 minutes, enough for about 6 volleys from each side. The militia retreated into the woods. The HQ and artillary was now reinforced with 700 troops, to stop antother attack.

Believing the British were now in disarry with the loss of their command and cannons King Henry II launched his attack. 7000 Canadian soldiers marched straight into the British lines. Around 7: 45 the first shots were fired. The cannons soon acted and the Canafian lines were pounded with continual volleys. The battle raged on for 30 more minutes.

Suddenly a rumbling noise could be heard in the distance. 1000 horses and men were charging straight into the left flank. The Canadians were cut off guard and the lines weakened. To further put injury to insult the only cavalry the canadians had were killed in the attack.

Only 10 minutes later 4000 soldiers came crashing into the Canadians right flank. Colonel Jones then ordered a charge in the front. King Henry ordered a full retreat to Edmonton. He would never see the city again. A lone cavalry man was able to get through the Canadian lines and kill the King.

The Canadian forces now tried to retreat but several battalions were trapped. By the end of the four hour battle, 1000 Canadian soldiers had died and 3000 more wounded. Another 1000 had been captured or surrendered. The remains of the Canadian army retreated to Edmonton. The British on the other hand ghad lost very little. Only 600 troops were killed and another 2300 wounded(3000 loses)

General Peterson took command of the remains of the Canadian army and the Canada. Not wanting to see any more death he surrendered to the British on August 2. Now all of Canada was in British hands. Several days later the iriqouis and British worked out an agreement. The British Empire was growing.

With the war over in Canada the King ordered General Hamilton and newly promoted Brigadier General Jones to Australia. The King was also sending the 5000 troops from the Canadian war to Australia.
--------------

Back in England news of the End of the Canadian War had made many people want to join the British Army. Soon word had gotten to the King that a record 15,000 people were signing up to join the Army. It was amazing. They would all have to be trained and equipped so the King ordered the factories to produce more.

OOC: So my Army is now 26,000. After all how hard is it to make an Army grow. After only 1 year in the Civil War the union army reached into the hundreads of thousands, when it started at around 20 to 50,000. But many of these soldiers were ill trained. So I'm increasing my army a lot smaller so they are still well trained.

Japan
The Japanese empire kept on growing.

Rumors that the British begun settling territories south to Japan came to the emperor.
The news was like swords into his heart. A country settling these rightfully Japanese lands? And not only that, a superpower of the world is settling there! The British were allies with the wonderful Americans, what could Japan do? Settle the area to? But that might bring a war against the British, and worst, the Americans. The emperor decided to do nothing, at least until Japan becomes powerful.

Year 1849, Day 11th March OOC My birthday J
The Armies were prepared. The artillery was finally silenced. Everything was ready to the armies to enter the capital. The walls of the city were already broken a part after more than 3 days of Artillery bombing and ship bombarding.

The first group of 10 elite soldiers entered the city.
Surprisingly the City was abandoned, only the Palace seemed alive… and it was.
The second group of troops of 1000 soldiers entered the city with several pieces of Artillery.

The artillery fired. The gates easily fallen in just several minutes and everyone were nervous.

The 1010 soldiers entered the palace gates and…

In there they found the King of Korea writing by himself the surrendering of Korea!
Rumors came to the army that the Korean people heard that Japan begun industrializing and wished to join the Japanese emporium.
The King saw all his troops and people moving south into the Japanese territories and understand that if he don’t want to be hanged, he should give up.

Although the king gave up, the Koreans wanted the Japanese armies to hang him. The emperor decided to bring him to Kyoto, the capital to see what to do with him.

Right after Korea fallen the huge amounts of Japanese troops moved from both Manchurian coasts and from Korea into Manchuria. They easily captured the capital and took over the small Chinese kingdom that was the last to join China.

Dead Japanese soldiers: 534.
New acquired lands: All Korea, All Manchuria.

Year 1849 Day 2nd in May
Annexing of Papua New Gini.

The Japanese diplomat entered the scary tent of the Chief of Jinni.
The chief easily signed papers he did not know what was written in them.

With this documents signed, Japan declare of the Annex ion of Papua-New-Gina into the Japanese Empire!

Year 1894 Day 1st in September
Many new factories and industries were opened in the Japanese islands in this year.
Many people begun leaving the villages into the cities, the urbanization was at its pick.
The industrializing of Japan was very fast, but with Industry came problems.
The number of people living in Japan began growing larger and larger, larger than ever seen in Japan.
With that came a shortage in food.
The emperor begun thinking with his advisors what to do, and they only came to 1 conclusion.
Korea, Manchuria, Taiwan, Philippines and Papua New Gini must become food suppliers of Japan.

A fast farm building a workers finding in those countries brought new food supplies into Japan. But the civilians in those countries began to feel the true nature of Japan.
She only used them as food and resources suppliers. What more could go wrong for them?

Before you begin settling Asian territories after this big southern continent.
I want to ask you not to enter Asia, especially not Southeastern Asia.
Can we have your word that you will not enter these territories?

Mustafa Amid was an ordinary kid, his father worked in a textiles factory, and he sold newspapers, while his younger siblings and his mother stayed at home. Both his grandparents had passed years before. He was a bright, especially for a ten year old, kid and he aspired to serve in the Sultan's Royal Army, as an officer. His home town was Abu Qir, just thirteen miles from Al Iskandariyah, known to the Europeans as Alexandria. He loved the beach, everything about it, the animals, the water, the sand, he loved it all. There he sat, with a few friends, along the beach.
Ah! A huge frigate appeared on the horizon, those grand sailing ships were becoming less and less frequent, but that was a consequence of industrialization, Mustafa thought. Hmm... two, three, four there were so many! Where had all these ships come from? And what was that flag the were flying? "I have only seen that in those posters around town, the ones about the 'Dirty Persians'". They were Persian ships. A blast came from one of the ships, cannon fire. The Persians had struck back.

A British Newspaper:
PERSIANS CAPTURE ALEXANDRIA
The Egyptian Port of Alexandria was captured be Persian Navy and Infantry, earlier this week, the quickly spread Westward, to the Port of Benghazi, in the Libya province, Egyptian naval commanders are dumbfounded by this, as the Egyptians had heavy blockades on the Turkish... MORE ON D4

Then there shall be no peace w/ russia.

German Troops took their guns and loaded their artillery, the german-russian war was not over after all, this time the russians were take totally by surprise, cavlary advanced, as infantry defended artillery defended the cavalry, the plan was to at east recapture adn liberate aoo of hte german land, if iwasnt by peace it would have to be by war!

Nicholas was enraged! The savage Germans would not end their bloodthirsty crusade of doom. The Russians sent a full, heavy assault on German borders. Using mostly Infantry, Russia made a startlingly fast advance on Germany herself where the Germans least expected them to attack. Artillery bombed the cities to soften up defenses. Then the Infantry came in to fight. The Infantry fought long and hard but prevailed. Then finally the Cavalry came to finish them off. THE WAR WILL BE WON BY RUSSIA!

OOC: To those who might doubt what I am about to describe;

The following weapon is based in reality, it is a scaled down version of the Prussian Needle Gun, which allowed that nation a quick victory in the Austro-Prussian war. A description of the weapon is available Here

zh218.jpg

Now, IC:

General Donehogawa held the rifle in his calloused hands, caressing it's wooden frame, pointing it and examining it's every angle.

"It's certainly of workable design," he commented to the men around him, the rifle, called the Matchenawtowaig, or 'deadly snake', was capable of firing eleven shots a minute, as Donehogawa had just demonstrated. A smoldering target sat across the range, Nine hundred paces away.

"It is not true then, what they have told us?" Sleeping Bear was an observer on behalf of the Grand Council, there to ensure the workability of the new weapon.

"No," the General grimmaced, "The cartridge is not prone to explosion, and the shots rarely, if ever, foul in the muzzle."

"It is a brilliant design."

Donehogawa nodded to the crowd, going into detail about the amount of powder in each shot, explaining the weapon's every quality.

"How many are we ready to produce?"

The question seemed to come from the still air, and for a moment the General wondered if he could get away without answering it, a look of expectance pervaded the small crowd, he stammered, forcing the awful words past his lips.

"Maybe a hundred a year."

Everyone was aghast, the excited tone of the afternoon was replaced by a sullen disgrace as the General explained that the slow production was due not to any failing on the weapon's part, but rather to the extremly primitive nature of the United Nation's industrial base.

Sleeping Bear stepped forward, adressing the men from the Dreise Company, a small local shop which had produced the gun and been rocketed quickly from one of many small gun shops to one of the most important weapons corporations in the Nations.

"I am willing to issue a contract for ten thousand of these, to be delivered by the end of next year."

The representative, unused to such dealings stammered a bit, paused, looked about to consult with anyone he could, seeing nothing but approval he slowly eked out his words.

"It.... it will be expensive."

"Yes, but we are willing to pay, we can afford it, and you will have to open up several factories to make this work."

"Can it be done?"

"A single factory, running at full capacity could easily make five hundred in a month."

"Yes, but we don't have a single factory."

"Which is why you must build some."

"Eight Hundred thousand wampum should ensure it."

Sleeping Bear grinned, "A businessman eh? It can be done."

"Good, we'll need it."

(OOC: 800,000 Wmp is roughly 3/4 of the Military budget for the UNA, though the Generals may push for more through hearings in the Grand Council it is likeyl that they will have to devote all the rest to the salaries of the soldiers and even then roughly a thousand will have to be downsized.)

"The National Council for the Apache Nation, one of 13 nations under the constitution of the United Nations hereby comes to order."

The gavel struck down twice, ensuring that all wer aware, and properly in reverence.

"The first order is to discuss the establishment of a public education system in the Nation. Supporters, rise and be recognised."

Taza stood up, aknowledging the crowd, "I beleive that it is in the best intrest of the Nation that we should ensure that schooling is available for all, I propose the institution of a school tax to pay for this. It may cost us gold, but who can put a price on the future?"

Across the table Coscise stood, "I do not beleive that it would be prudent to burden the people with further taxes, or to upset the delicate balance of of family by usurping the children during the days."

"Ah, I have found a man who can cite a price for the future," a polite chuckle passed through the room," Coscise, do the men not work, and the women? The nation will be far wealthier soon, the Dreise company will soon be offering jobs with the construction of it's factory, and even after that people will be needed to work in that factory. You underestimate the family, my freind."

Debate continued through the day, dusty air wandering through the creaking building, finally, as the sun set the National Executive, or Governor as the white men said, pressed his gavel down again, calling the votes forward, in the closest vote in the Apache Nation's history Public Education was instituted and taxed.
