Nes2 I

Hey... I think I remember reading this behind Erik Mesoy's back. Wow, wasn't that long ago then, I think I joined a StalinNES and ignored the others before I joined GoobNES (NES mythos made it seem somewhat ancient ;)).

Hmpppf, should have joined this while I could've. It looks quite great and I 'aint seen the updates yet. :)

definitely one of my favorite NESs, right up there with rtor2. I don't know why, but it is always funner if you take a backwater nation and turn it around and become a super power, as I did in this NES and in rtor2. You feel more accomplished. I just wish I would have been more active in the beginning, but I guess its hard with 7 or 8 divisions, lol.

I did do something in one of the earlier wars, capturing South Africa. But most of my action came later on, with the DU and counterweighing stalin :)

and of course the epic sheep betrayal, who betrayed the free alliance by telling china who told germany about the DU assault...

hey, we got mad cuz u didn't trust us and threw our lot with the Germans!

I've read this before, actually it was this NES that convinced to join the NESsing scene in the first place. Even though i was not part of this nes, it convinced me to give NESsing a try.

Interesting... Well, as I said, it IS a part of NES history. But that doesn't mean it has to be all that ancient...

Well, IMHO its the same appeal that a fresh start NES has - start out small, build an empire. No?

Yes... Someone should really write something like the "Military History of the Civilization's Last 26 Years". I mean, the wars here were GREAT, the Liberation of Africa, the Occitanian Civil War, AmerikaKorps, the Sealion, the DC vs. Oceania naval war...
and of course the epic sheep betrayal, who betrayed the free alliance by telling china who told germany about the DU assault...

Sheep THOUGHT China was on their side, no? Though I doubt it was hard to guess that DU will invade PRG, or rather Italy. Stalin told me (not in those words) that he knew it was the endgame even before that. He said that the reason for which your defeat is assured is that you are prepared for fighting WWIII as one would fight WWII - conventionally.

yeah, sheep thought i was on their side but it was widely known that China's socialists tendencies would align it with Germany. and doesn't stalin nuke everyone in every near modern nes u've modded?

I need to mod another one. Or, hopefully, I need to persist with ITNES into the modern age. It will be an interesting experiment.

Then again, didn't Sheep2 nuke the world some time ago? And then again, in SB's NES?

Yeah and your point is?

My point is, its not just stalin who blows the world up.

(I did so in the follow-up sequential. Can't really say I regret it at all sort of, I gave WarlordMatt tons of chances to turn around. Don't see why France taking over evil-Germany was so bad. I was honest about destroying a threat. But for some reason France was oh so bad. Loose lips sink ships. *sigh* ;)

Then again I DID launch that nuke at N. Korea without provocation at the start of the game.)

So yeah, Stalin isn't the only one to nuke worlds, but he is until now the by FAR most stylish about it.

Err.... not so bad? Who was it who tried to nuke North Korea in the first turn? :mischief:

Aaah, I should've sent a few more missiles or not made an attempt at all.
My ingenious AB-plan involved the USA getting involved and saving Japan's ass... the Pacific nations would be embroiled in a large war and lose status while I would build up France peacefull and through arms-sales.

Gelion, this is the thread you asked me about, for the refference.

Danke! I will brouse through it now....

while britain slowly watches france and prepares for the inevitable... :mischief:

...and while Iraq coups Kuwait and begins unifying the Middle East as soon as the fireworks start flying.

If I recall correctly, "someone" started pressing the red button during Brazil, annihilating a huge White Helmets force. ;) Already after the NES ended, erez said it stupid of Stalin to tell of all his secrets here - after all, "now we will all know what you plan to do next NES" (not exact wording, I think).

well, aparently something funny happened since i nuked the world again  and Erez was one of the worst hit, most of new england wipped out.

for the ITNES i have something special in mind :mischief:

He was in Israel, not in New England. ;)
