DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF FINLAND
The elections were coming within the Republic and the current government was unlikely to be re-elected. For starters the ruling coalition had begun to fracture with the diffrent ideologies drfiting apart. Second of all a large Democratic-Socialist party had arisen, citing that private enterprise needed regulations to ensure the working class was protected. The elections were here.
The Parties
Democratic- Socialist Party of Finland - The Democratic Socialist Party wished to continue the current status quo. However they propose reforms to ensure that the working classes are protected from big industry.
Communist Party of Finland Small party that many belive is run by Germany. Not a big membership base and not expected to pick up and seats.
Republican Party of Finland The current government of Finland, the Republican party has broken ranks with the Democratic Party forcing the elections. The Republicans wish to futher strengthen the state and begin taking a more independent role from the Russians.
Consertvative Party of Finland The current government of Finland without the Republican party has had to call elections. The Conservative Party wishes to see Finland continue to grow closer with the Russians and the Democratic Union.
National Socialist Party of Finland Small firnge party not alot of support
Military Party of Finland Wishes to see the Finish military expanded and begin a nuclear program to safegaurd Finlanbd from its larger neighbours, Germany and Russia.
Elections
The government of Finland is based on a three arm system of government. The Executive is an elected President who si elected by popular vote. Cabinet ministers are appointed by the President and apporved of by the Senate.
The Legislature is made up of the the Finnish National Houses of Parliament. The House of Representatives is elected from the individual consituents. The House of the Senate however is eleted by the national elections and therefore 21 are elected every four years.
The Judicary is comnposed of the High Court of Finland and they will uphold the consitution of the Democratic Republic.
Elections are held federally every four years, Local government is elected every two years.

The Republican and Democratic Socialists have formed an unlikely coalition government with an overwhelming majorty. The Leader of Representatives is Democratic Socialist and the Senate Leader is to be Republican. The Republican President will be able to pass majority of its laws.
