I still remember some NES'es, where people started to practise de-colonization in the 19'th century. That's just not right, in 100 years from that point of time, but in a 19'th century NES it just isn't right.

Technically, a World War, in a way somewhat close to the second variant, might come next turn. One alliance based around HRE and FK, other - around France, Sweden and Persia. And the best part is, the alliance lines, if we forget about involvement of Persia and non-involvement (?) of China, are almost identical to those in the Nine-Years War (oh, and Dalnorossia switched sides, but it was a fairly reluctant Federate ally back then as well)!

After our various alliances and treaties...Persia is the biggest ally in Asia that the FK has.

The Republic of Novgorod the Great. It saved Finno-Ugric Karelians from Finno-Ugric Finns and cooperated with them on raiding and looting Swedish cities.

The alliances thing seems a bit more complex than that thanks to the HREs problems...and who the heck said Dalnorossia was allying with france? We are just against the Ottomans. (see the diplomatic lengths I've tried to go to)
