NES2 VI - Last Semblance of Order.

Kal'thzar, sorry, didn't see your orders soon enough, and when I did see them it was too late.

So noted. It is however rather late to enact those orders now due to recent developments.

You could do the stat growths however. put the logistics point into Navy.

Edit: just noted that you havn't done stats, still the point about the logistics stands.

TO: The Leader of the Islamic Caliphate
FROM: His Royal Highness, King Julien-François I, King of the French

France welcomes your new nation into the world, and hopes that the death of the defunct Ottoman Empire will bring with it the freedom of millions. We wish to pursue relations with your nation, and we also wish to aid you in becoming a strong and able regional power. However, we do hope that the Caliph pursues a road of pragmatism, moderation, and advancement, and does not subject his subjects to the horrors of fundamentalism. We have no qualms with your nation or its faith, and infact, we support your freedom from the Ottoman oppressors, however, we know of the horrors of fundamentalism, and we wish only that the Caliphate works towards strong relations with France, while also working toward a state built upon the true words of your holy scripture. We issue a garuntee of independence, to ensure that your national integrity will not be infringed upon.

"Sir the windows of oppurtunity has closed,"

"WHAT!"

"Well there were some hold ups with the logistics of the army, someone diverted the funds into the Navy,"

"Why, who has done this?"

"It was on the diplomatics advisors advice, the French declared protection for the state of Brunswick,"

"Damn, so what do we do?"

"I suggest we build up and prepare for what seems to be an inevitable war with Denmark, the peoples sentiments there have flared up and the government is fanning the flames with the particulars of our refusale to negotiate over Scaneland,"

"Damn People, anything else?"

"No sir, Sweden is in general quiet, a slight deterioation of the Infrastructre but that is all"

"I intend to keep it that way,"

Those are still "peacekeeping" forces correct? I am sure those lands will be relinquished to the Christian nations that were drawn last year....

We cannot allow ourselves to deal with Islamic or non-Christian powers at this stage. You may establish alliances with them, but the Holy League cannot find itself in a position where it might have to send...Holy CHRISTIAN soldiers...to defend an Islamic power. You see the plight of such an act dont you?

Ireland fully agrees with the Papal States, our christian man should not fight for Islamic purposes.

@das, I think you forgot a few of my stat increases....

sigh....why did you forget my orders Das???

Speaking of your orders, you could only have one project at the time.

@das, I think you forgot a few of my stat increases....

You sure?

Das, even though the stats appear updated, you never gave me that economy or civil leadership bonus, but otherwise, good update.

We hope that Christian nations will rise out of those 'peacekeeping' forces.

I'm quitting Sennar. But....

'Buon giorno i miei italiani del collega.'

He was a tall man. His hair was brown and he was dressed in the clothes of a commoner. In his right hand, a pistol. In his left, a standard was raised high. The standard of Green, White and Red. The standard of Italia.

It had begun like any other day. The sun rose over Messina and the citizens of Spain got to their chores. Baking goods or learning at schools or smithing weapons or Hell, any other type of employment availible in Sicily. But then that man appeared. He was flanked by two others. They were shouting: Vive l'Italia libera!

The man with the flag and pistol was Luciano Mancini. He was a Catholic Church go-er and ex-military. He was, until that moment, a police officer who didn't show up at work that day. To his left was Allente Garibaldi. He too was a church go-er however his proffessioon was not miltary or anything of the sort. He was a liberal activist. He owned his own newspaper, The Sicilian , which had never before shouted for independence. Until today's issue. And the third was Mario Constanza. He was a long time friend of Luciano who professed the same beliefs. He was unemployed but was found to be able in a variety of tasks. He'd just left his parents house to start the riot.

The chant grew louder. Slowly more people joined in. A massive horde of citizens marched to the top of a hill to watch Luciano, Allente and Mario give their words. Some citizens carried muskets, others pistols, some household tools that could be converted into melee weapons. The police were subdued and their weapons taken. Luciano smiled.

'Citizens of Messina. Citizens of Sicily. Citizens of Italy. Spain owns you no more. The Holy League owns you no more. Venice owns you no more. The Spaniards have oppressed us for centuries and theHoly League has restricted freedoms and created more division. Venice is too weak and distant to be the the true Italians. It starts here! Take up your arms! First it will be Sicily. Then we cross over to the boot and take what is ours. We will vanquish the Spaniards from Italy and unify Sicily, Venice and the Papal States. We will create a unified Italy, one of power that will surpass even the Romans! Vive l'Italia! Viive l'Italia libera!'

The crowd roared. The roar was heard for miles and miles away. It was heard at Reggio on the tip of the boot. The crowd dispersed to find more tools of war. Because that was what was on. War.
