Never Before Seen Leader Elimination

- Hasdrubal Barca - Carthage - an interesting character, father of Hannibal, who conquered vast land in Spain which allowed Carthage to recover from the loss in the Second Punic War. He would look quite similar to Hannibal though.

I think you'll find that Hannibal's father was named Hamilcar. I believe Hasdrubal was the name of Hannibal's brother.

Not that leaders for civs that have yet to appear in Civ6 are being considered at this time, as far as I understand.

Oh, okay, something was in the wrong drawer in my head - of course it was Hamilcar ;) Thank you, I edited the post.

So basically I contributed the two Polish kings and still a couple others are applicable for this contest.

I might additionally propose:
Khosrau I of the Sassanian Empire, known also as Anushirvan
Hadrian - if we have Trajan and were considering Marcus Aurelius, we could continue the theme of Five Good Emperors and take Hadrian into the contest
Chiang Kai-shek for China - definitely an interesting character, too bad he lost the war

Unfortunately, Chiang Kai-shek is extremely unlikely because 2K wants to sell the game to Chinese audiences.

As a descendant of Chinese, I don't necessarily see Chiang Kai-Shek as a better leader for Civ than Mao Zedong. The guy was a dictator.

Agreed. Nationalists and communists are both icky. But you better believe if China won't allow Mao in Civ (they traded him out for Taizong in Civ4), then they sure as heck won't permit Chiang.

Maybe Sun Yat-sen?

He didn't make decisions leading to starvation of millions of people. Poor sparrows. That alone makes him better.

Besides, this is a thread where we say what would be nice to see, not necessarily what is likely to appear.

Though Sun Yat-sen is also a nice proposition.

I am boring about all this political correctness it is just a computer game and a leader/Civ is not only this one which I can play 7, times more often he is that one I can defeat. I want do defeat the most important opponents in this alternative history simulation and not Roger Rabbit and Donald Duck.
I think the somewhat ridiculous comic style of Civ 6 is ideal to have a few really bad guys in the game.

Well, Ivan IV is more than likely going to be in round 2.

You seriously would like to see Chairman Mao in the game? China would ban it for sure....

Bolesław I the Brave (Poland) 20
Diocletian (Rome) 20
Dwight D. Eisenhower (America) 20
Eleftherios Venizelos (Greece) 20-3=17 We. Do. Not. Need. More. Greek. Leaders.
Frederick II Stupor Mundi (Germany) 20
Haakon IV (Norway) 20
Henry V (England) 20
Henry Parkes (Australia) 20

Bolesław I the Brave (Poland) 20 + 1 = 21 Consolidated all of the land in Poland AND conquered Bohemia AND all of Slovakia AND parts of Germany AND was a good ruler.
Diocletian (Rome) 20
Dwight D. Eisenhower (America) 20 - 3 = 17 I'm all for more American leaders (one day I hope to play as a president conquering all of the other presidents :p) but I don't think that Dwight is the best choice. I would rather have Thomas Jefferson or John Adams.

Henry V (England) 20
Henry Parkes (Australia) 20

Bolesław I the Brave (Poland) 21
Diocletian (Rome) 20
Dwight D. Eisenhower (America) 17
Eleftherios Venizelos (Greece) 17-3=14 - Enough is enough. Greece is actually horribly overrepresented Civ. It has three leaders (because nobody will convince me that Macedon isn't third Greece). There is absolutely NO need for another one.

Haakon IV (Norway) 20
Henry V (England) 20
Henry Parkes (Australia) 20
Ivan IV the Terrible (Russia) 21
Jan III Sobieski (Poland) 20

Rodrigo "El Cid" Diaz de Vivar (Spain) 20
Sargon of Akkad (Sumeria) 20
Thutmose III (Egypt) 20+1=21 - Perfect candidate for a second leader of Egypt. Great conqueror. If I'm not mistaken, during his reign Egypt got most lands in its history.
Ur-Nammu (Sumeria) 20

Bolesław I the Brave (Poland) 21
Diocletian (Rome) 20

Khosrow I (Persia) 20

Rodrigo "El Cid" Diaz de Vivar (Spain) 20
Sargon of Akkad (Sumeria) 20
Thutmose III (Egypt) 21
