The building for the city looks good.

I am not sure on the Antenna on the truck - it used Alpha chanel (transparency) which is a reocurring source :aargh: on units.
Also the thing is huge and is probably transported folded anyway.

Also i already done with a simple "militant" variant.


I will try how it looks if look if i stick the antena on top of it.
 
The Antena does not fit too well with the covered cargo from the cressnshot above (It looks odd under as well as over the cover...). But i think removing the cargo and the camo-cover completely and replecing them with the antena might work out, if you prefer to have a visible radar part on the cart.

And here;s what is going to be the medical truck...
 
The caravans are done.

We have Food, Medical, Art (Museum/Happy ?), a "militant stuff" one (with the camo cover), and the Radar one.

All run on the same anims. Keep the Caravan_Base.nif, even if unused - the anim need it.




I didn't make dds buttons but attached a PS button in layers, where you can easily slap the icons on. Save it with Dxt3 / "No Mip Maps".

Put it in the databese for more publicity (tho i dont think they are usefull for too many peoples...)

Got them. Thanks! What's next, the bulldozer, or animating the transam from The_Coyote, or maybe a variant of the Tinker LH with a fireman's hat and some less medieval outfit?
 
I have the dozer quite high in my priority queue, as right now the catapult is clearly the most un-appropriate unit in the mod.
As mentioned in the other thread however - i have some trouble coming up with godd concept, and i usually need some time for a concept to settle... So maybe i squeze someting in between...

And finally, a M88 tank recovery vehicle that has been modified for urban combat. It's hard to see, but in the front, there is a small dozer blade that is up in the travel position. I've driven one of these: they are big, loud, powerful and almost impossible to destroy outside of a tank round.

I have added the caravans and also the new dual flamethrower ute to the game. Here is a screenshot with one of the heavy utes at the left for reference. I'll make them a little smaller. I think the caravans are sufficiently different from each other. But, something seems to have gone wrong with the ute. Unless you intended "lipstick pink" rather than "fire engine red" ? :)

 
Yes the caravans have a completely different scale for these trucks you was using so far... I was thinking fScale 0.35 or even less...
Making the UTE's a bit smaller (once again) might be a good idea too, they still look somewhat big in the game - my scaling recomentations seem to be way too high most of the time.

The pic is still invisible... It should look like in my picture some posts earlier...

Pink'ish stuff usually indicates missing textures.
I chcked and as far as i can tell everything necessary is in the archive i uploaded... Perhaps something went MIA while extracting it ?

There should be a LandRover_Red_DIFF, LandRover_Red_GLOSS, LandRover_DAMAGE (this one is shared with the other UTE's) and a Fireman_DIFF textures.


EDit: PS... It's my mistake... The Gloss textures was misreferenced (Pointing to the original UTE's Gloss map...)

Honestly - i started out trying to make different cars - like some sports cars, a pickup... You couldn't tell the difference, even if you knew exactly which one it is...
The mesh and texture resolution is just not high enought. And the screenshots are the maximal Zoom you can get in the game....

I have updated the art request post, #2 in this thread.

With the corrected gloss file, the flamethrower ute looks right, and it is in the game as a new hero, Fireball.

I revised the set of buildings that go along with the new caravans, so there is a museum for happiness, a radar station for safety, and the existing hospital for health.

I will try to use the new tankbuster, provided by The_Coyote, without any animation; maybe it will work.

I'd really love to replace the Tinker LH, maybe something with a hard hat or fireman's helmet. Any base LH would work. I'll put a junkyard background behind him.
 
The Coyotes tankbuster will work without anims as well, untill i get to finish it up - just without anims - like the truck in the beginning.

Who is Tinker supposed to be ? I cant really find him in the LH Background thread.
 
He doesn't have a background yet, it is a chicken and egg problem. You can see him in the leaderhead summary at this link, or of course in-game. This LH is the "worst" from the post-apo theme standpoint.

Since I wasn't able to get a lunatic monk leaderhead with a "cowl", the cult name "children of the fire" doesn't work very well. With all the discussion about building stuff out of junk, I thought of a guy who owned a junkyard and was handy with tools. I thought of a construction worker hardhat, or maybe using the fireman helmet from the flamethrower unit.
