[R&F] New Features Video

Am I the only one who finds the religion lens and now also the loyalty lens incredibly ugly and unnecessarily cluttered?

Do you mind telling those of us who don't know what it is they had intended for the Pueblo?
The Pueblo were intended to be the Americas Native civ but it never got past some concept art, and background info as the Tribe would not allow them interviews, or cooperate to have themselves implemented into the game. They had roads etc. just like the Inca who were put in to replace the Pueblo for the expansion.

Thanks.

if you google "Great Lodge religion", you get links to Freemasonry.

Almost certainly NOT a new religion
Who controls the British Crown?
Who keeps the metric system down?
WE DO! WE DO!

Who keeps Atlantis off the maps?
Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
WE DO! WE DO!

Who holds back the electric car?
Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
WE DO! WE DO!

Who robs cave fish of their sight?
Who rigs every Oscar night?
WE DOOO! WE DOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I suspect Firaxis and CivFanatics have different definitions of the words "FULL DETAILS".

As anticipated. We are the 1% - 99% are overwhelmed by the sheer number of new infos... I didn't expect much more from today so I'm fine with it...

Alliance screen image:

City Loyalty Sidebar

And from the loyalty sidebar we can see that alliances have additional effects, e.g. no loyalty-pressure from neighbours you are having a cultural alliance with... It would be great if other alliances are having additional effects, too. For instance military might boost your unit building capacity or reduce maintenance, Scientific helps in building Science District or Science buildings. Additional GPP for the respective alliances would be great as well... Even more incenctive to keep true to your friends.

Lautaro of Mapuche was spec'd as the possible leader, so I did a little side-by-side analysis

that fits shockingly well, I suppose it's the Mapuche indeed. Another surprise. Awesome, I like surprises! Nevertheless I need my Incas...

Personally I will enjoy the timeline a lot! Now if they would only be able to implement a HOF as well... :crazyeye:

Interesting, it looks like an alliance can upgrade to any other alliance type? I guess one type per civ? So do you have to agree I wonder or do you say it's a science alliance and they say it's a military alliance and you each get your respective bonuses?

new building with professional sports, stadium-equivalent building for water park probably (looks like swiming pool):

Yes, it indeed looks like a Swimming Pool. I initally tought it would be a Marina / Sailing Club. (To me, it makes more sense that to provide ammenities to surronding cities than a simple pool, but I suppose water team sports / diving / swimming can be popular in some parts of the world).

At Natural Heritage, iirc, along with the district, two other buildings are enabled, that seem the Ferris Weel (I guess the Arena equivalent), and an Aquarium (wich seems to clearly stand in for the zoo).

Edit: Found the old screenshot - Natural History, 2 new buildings and water EC district

Decent video I think, I didn't mind the narrator as much as others even though I prefer Sarah. Emergencies seem OK, could spice up a game, I hope they increase the risk/reward, but there's always modding for that.

Reading about the Mapuche, they don't seem like a domination-style civ. Looks like this might be a good candidate for a UI: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemamull

The Inca weren't in any expansion. They were in a DLC with Spain and the Conquest of the New World scenario.

Also, IIRC, the Pueblo would have had a mechanic involving building cities on Mountain tiles.

Both of the new civ's colors are on the flag of Cusco:

However, I think it's more likely to be Lautaro. Looks more like him than any Sapa Inca, IMO. Bit of a pity, I wanted Inca, but Mapuche are cool too.

Yes, but if Firaxis is gong by historical substance then it does not say much because that is something the Inca did not have nor created, of course. Indeed sad if they are not in this time around. Let's hope that if the Mapuche are, they were depicted in Cree fashion.

Oh yeah...Bring back the HOF!!

This is our new meme by the way. If that's what it takes...

Someone else mentioned that they are the primary colors of the modern day Argentina and Chile flags where the people still live today.

A kurgan by any other name. In all seriousness while this seems completely plausible I don’t know how they will be able to make it functionally or thematically different from Scythia’s kurgan.

Indeed. The Shoshone stepped in when the Pueblo concept fell through. The Inca had already been in the game for some time.
