New Leaderhead - King Atlas of Atlantis

Maybe a temple like background?

Could you make the same sort of stonework in a metalic texture, sort of like modern artwork. I like the openness of the sky behind him.

The house background just seems very plain. I do agree that the culture should move on though.

I agree that, by the time they've invented electricity, the Atlanteans ought to move in doors. The room you have is not bad (somewhat similar to Cleo's), but if you could make it look more business-like, then it would seem like a more appropriate place for Atlas to be posing. Obviously, a desk would be below the fold, but other props (shelves, cabinets, a college degree?) might make the difference.

And it might be something as simple as the wall paper. I think my Bobci had that in her parlor. :-)

I've changed monocle and that "beard thing" to Orichalcum. If there's something you don't like give me a sign.

About tatoos in middleages. Europeans came to America in XV century and that was the end of middleages, so I thought that Atlatean culture (Atlatean Island is between America and Europe in the scenario) should stay unchanged till discovery of New World, that's way Atlas has tatoos even in MiddleAges:)

:D :goodjob: :D Excellent :D :goodjob: :D

I like the Orichalcum Vase and the picture of Sprithidates, clever because he was originally going to be used for this leader head.

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!
About the backround, I think RagnarD hit it on the head about the wallpaper. Just change the wallpaper or give it a solid texture and I think the window would look better with some blinds or something. Also, I agree with Kinboat and neorowen but think this would be better for the modern era. The industrial age should seem to have a stuffy feel to it, and the modern age should open back up due the appropriate health concerns and better knowlege of the past.

I want to end this post with a  and a :jump: and a  concidering I went smiley free the whole post ;)

The red crown fits better with Orichalcum, the blue looked ok but red is better for both looks and Orichalcum.

Lots of suggestions about background, but I still don't know what to do:) I think that room will be better so I'll leave room, I'll try to change a wall a bit, - maybe I'll leave it plain, don't know. And RagnarD if you want to make shelves on a wall I must resign with the picture. I have to think about it and make few suggestions for you.

I left the background for a while and made modern Atlas.

Yeah maybe more of an office look or just a more plain wall. Instead of the "Live from his living room, it's the king of atlantis!!" look.

I like the glasses, I think he'd done very well.

I'm despred:( I really don't know what to do with that background.

Maybe the blue brick? The red would probably be overkill with his glasses and the vase.

You use 3d max right? I can see if I can find a few textures or something for it.

That looks a lot better. I don't even know if it's the stone or the zoom, but I do like it better.

I think the red brick looks more industrial than the blue. I'm not too worried about the red overkill, with orichalcum. Not married to the shelves, so don't lose the picture - it's a nice touch. I think the bare brick (maybe with with no curtains) is good enough. I like the column outside the window.

We'd discussed the "main" age before. Of course, "historically", the ancient age would be main. In the mod, the UU arrives in the midieval age. Either of those would work with me.

The modern LH is great. Very cool.

Can the lattice be done in another color than red? The lattice looks more refined then just the brick and with the zoom closer to the window it won't overpower the image.

The new background with the collumn outside is great! Use that! It shows the progression of Atlantis but keeping of their tradition. It's great!

The background is for the industrial age, right? If so then i suggest for the modern age you keep the window and make the background either more like an office, or make a glass window behind him, with the glass supports being Orichalcum, or just make it a straight glass window with no supports. Either way you should make it look out onto their city, possibly having the city under water (?) to include some of the myth behind the end of Atlantis.

Thanks everybody for your help. I'm reading all posts and thinking of solving our problem.

I have to go now,but when I'll come back I'll try to implement your suggestions.

In the meantime I tried to make modern background - only few changes form industrial age... Waiting for "buts":)

Nice, love his model, BUT the whole thing is a little (ok a lot) dark. BUT HAVE NO FEAR! I know how to correct this, make the background a GLASS WINDOW looking out onto the city!

O.k. I did some work with psp7 and consulted a few friends. Here is what I propose for the industrial and modern ages.

For the industrial I think the brown lattice work wall reflects the darkness of the era, being the era where pollution becomes an issue. The modern I like almost entirly, great job with the curtains btw. I added the pot back in because I just like the pot and it keeps some of the stonework (barly) with the leaderhead. He looks sort of hip in the modern version, maybe just for fun, you can add an orichalcum earstud. (Hey, why not?)

Did I mention recently how much I like the zoomed in view? I Don't really think it's to dark though. I've already put the first flc file posted in the game and it works and looks pretty good. The wink sometimes gets messed up because the computer sometimes switches between the forward and backward flc files mid wink.
