Hi, I know I'm new, but I want to make an impact on the community as quickly as possible! I'm starting a mod, hopefully a total conversion for Civilization IV, based on a story I started to write. The Basic Civs are: United States, European Military Federation, Russia, People's Republic of China, Middle Eastern Coalition, Israel, and the Neo-Nazi Confederacy. There will also be sub-factions within each civ, like in Command and Conquer: Generals. well, i don't want anybody to steal my ideas, but i will say that it takes place in 2015 and here's the basic story

While the US continued the War on Terror throughout the first decade of the 21st Century, the Neo-Nazis, hell-bent on revenge for the defeat of Hitler, began to form militia groups and began to stockpile weapons throughout the world. A Neo-Nazi collector and politician, Benjamin Schmidt, took charge of the political side, while General Erik Beck, a rogue German Neo-Nazi, took over the Nazi Alliance Military, and personally oversaw the reformation of the S.S. They began to streamline into society, make themselves less noticeable, as well as infiltrate military from around the world as they began to use the Internet to spread the Neo-Nazis message of hate, attracting thousands if not millions of recruits. The Nazi-Alliance then began to infiltrate industry and took over factories to use to make war materials and vehicles to be part of their plan to strike a vengeful blow to the World; for Hitler, Operation: Invincible. This daring plan was to eliminate one of the most powerful military powers on Earth: the United States.

Got the US sub-factions now. President Ken Jensen is the basic leader. Next comes General Nate Kent, who is an air force commander. Next is Lt. General Kim Matheson, an expert in special ops. After this comes, Major General Jim "Steel" Carson, an armored warfare specialist. Then comes Brigadier General Mike "Flash" Pierce, an expert defender.

I think in order to get people interested in you're mod you will have to show them something. I would suggest starting the Mod (Beta version) yourself and if people like what you've done they will be more willing to help to improve it. I'm not a modder myself but I think thats the way it works, unless you're a established modder in the community like Snoopy, Rhye, Warpstorm. Or maybe try helping other people with their mods, and then in turn they will help you with your's. Good luck with you're mod I hope you get it off the ground!
P.S. I wouldn't worry about anyone stealing your idea's, If you posted them first on this forum or made the first version of a mod, people will know who's idea it was!

Brig. General Pierce is a rising star in the US Army. Although affectionately nicknamed "Flash", the general is not known for his speed, rather he's known for his defensive capabilities. While commanding the 10th Mountain Division and an attached Stryker brigade, he held the city of Qom for almost 2 weeks during the Rammahdan offensive in the 2010 Iran War. However, because of his heavy need for logistics and support, if he is cut off for more than two weeks at a time, it could mean disaster.
Major General Jim Carson has served in Armor since the start of his career. Serving as a Calvary lieutenant in Kosovo, he gained experience fighting skirmishes with the Serbs. Post 9/11, in the Afghani and Iraq Wars, he distinguished himself and led the column that took Baghdad's Airport. After the fall of Baghdad, he served in the Basra area, until he was given command of the 1st Brigade of the 1st Armored. Carson's time to shine was the 2010 Iran War. After the 1st Armored's commander and his deeputies were killed in an artillery attack at the beginning of the Rammadan offensive, Carson took command. Maneuvering two brigades behind the Iranian III and VI Revolutionary Guard Corps, he quickly fell on their rear and wiped out all but one battalion of the enemy force, who surrendered. This astonishing victory opened up the road to Tehran and Carson himself led the armored spearhead that surrounded the city, while General Matheson captured the Ayatollah's compound and the Ayatollah himself. He received his nickname for his strength under fire and for being "a wall of pure steel" when he set his mind on something, "almost unstoppable." Because of his armor dominance, however, he is rather bad with infantry tactics.
