New Rule Proposal

Please ban animated images from signatures.

Many have pointed out that trying to read a thread with animated avatars is difficult - well, it's no different to animated signatures.

Much as I don't normally mind animated smilies, the overabundance of them in sigs of people posting here in Site Feedback lately makes me agree with this proposal.

i really don't mind. besides, what's it matter wheter it's in a sig or in a post, no (aside from real goober) has anything against smilies in posts, the only difference is tht little black line. btw, the smilies in your sig also count toward the 10 smiley limit. for instance, i can only put 9 smilies in my posts because i have 1 in my sig

There are a few in Civ3 G-D that srping to mind as well. I would have no problem with a blanket ban, but limiting to one would be tolerable.

Speaking of blankets bans. This rule would apply to mods as well right. As I know of at least one mod who would rub it in that he could do it and we can't

Agreed. I completely agree, take them out, they are hideous.

I would prefer Smilies gone period (Dang it, I amost always type "Similies", then catch myself . . . ), but since that ain't gonna happen, I will settle from no animated Smilies in sigs . . .

One or two is ok, esp if they're 'limited' in their animated aspects.

It's those that form some huge grand pix of smilies shooting away or rolling about that hurts the eyes...

A completely different issue.

And besides, mods need some perks.

But I'm quite happy to follow the no animated gifs in sigs.
