Umm . . . you are not allowed images in Sigs, so the only way to have an animated Sig would be to have an Animated smily in your Sig, thusly, we concluded that you must have not wanted Animated Smilies in Sigs.
You can be confusing at times, just like me!!!

I wouldn't mind banning smilies in signatures altogether. It's very easy to do -- all I need to do is set the option "Allow smilies in signatures?" to No. 
A rule banning animated smilies in sig is probably not needed right now, although we will delete a signature if we find it too annoying.

You can switch them off yourself if you want or at least stop them moving. If you have Windows go to control panel/internet properties then click on the advanced tab. Scroll down and uncheck the box labelled show web page animations. I think thats the one anyway - I did it myself for a spell when they became particularly annoying.

I would rather ban colored signatures. They are awful. For example when scrolling past a string of RealGoober posts (not uncommon in Model Parliament) I get a headache.

YES!!! Please, this would be excellent, all my dreams, hopes, desires come true!!! It would also stop me from whining about Smilies quite as much, which would be desirable, no?
@ The Person - Not ALL of my posts come from here, I also spend time in Comp. Talk, Humour and Jokes, etc. If you allowed Post Count in the Model Parliment, then I would have LOTS more posts, as well as h4ppy . . .

I would vote to ban animated smilies in sigs. But, since I don't have a vote in the matter, I would support the change.
