You know, I started out as a SMACX art/faction modder, and as I drifted into the forum management that became my real hobby, those skills have stood me in good stead - I think decorating a place is fun.

Now IF you want the lower-case alternatives to anything, I'll need to know the right font, and I'm -strangely- now unable to find the function to gold the letters that I used in the spring. Puzzling; I was trying to do up a 7 logo for AC2 recently, and doing it manually just doesn't look as good...

For my own opinion, I think simplest one-line takes in gold and Civ6 styles -posts 12 and 17- are the best-looking, and NOT just because I'm a strong believer in minimizing top-space used as a page design point.

I assume we're done here? If there's fiddling/adjusting left to do, better while I have the files still open...

I tried to change the logo for Civ6 style to use the one from post 17.
Due to the dark blue background, the logo text doesn't stand out especially the CIV part of the logo.
Think we should make that part more golden.

What do you think?

That would look great for your needs if it stood out, of course.

Golden color is easy - it's making the letters metallic I have trouble with. Is there a reason not to use the post 12 try?

I'll fiddle color on that one for you and post something -or several- soon.

I have my doubts that this will look good against the blue, but it certainly ought to be legible.

-Actually, I tried it on your screenshot, blue-blanked, and it looks pretty righteous to my eye. I could get a better color match w/ the little gold border, but this looks good as-is...

This is the post 12 try way brighter, and I think it matches the border and stands out against the dark blue background just right now. Little bit taller than above.

-Doesn't even look too bad against a light background, which I expected...

Somewhat better try at the 6-based version - CIV golded, FANATICS only brightened 30%.

This looks better against the background than two posts back, though I like the metallic better, this is also quite good.

I'm pretty sure we've got something good enough among these choices...

Hmm. Scratched around and finally found the (well-hidden) Chrome function.

This is more a demo than a submission, Times New Roman font, upper/lowercase -and I don't think that works well with two sizes type in a line together- 200x44.

I reckon I better try all-uppercase w/ the 7 big C before I'm really done...

Yeah - that looks good and some proprietary pride is delightful payment.

-I also got motivated to finally make a Civ7 folder of my own today, and a decent quicky theme for it to default to -a direct spinoff of doing this- and I do believe we're all in this together and a rising tide WILL lift all boats...
