New skins for FAPC and Dropship

Wunderbar sounds like a beautiful word.

OMG those Native Americans are awesome!

I noticed that you are considering differing weapon sets between various skins. This may mean, with equipment coming into play, that we might need to have differing unit types under the same class that are something like the original UU... Native American Hunters may have different weapons from African ones. We wouldn't greatly vary them but we would indeed need differing xml definitions so that their base weapon sets would be determined by whatever artwork has established for them.

I can change all Hunters to be atlalt or javelineers, Great Hunters using bows and Trackers with melee weapons (sticks, bone daggers or stone knifes).

I truly don't mind if they vary... just means we'll need to go deeper than skinning and define them differently, which is fine. In fact, I REALLY like it! It gives some strategic variation between the differing base culture types and makes the base culture more meaningful to play.

It would be very helpful if you could provide lists of the weapons as skinned on each unit. It would greatly assist me in defining where we need to have these variations and in assigning the proper weapon-based combat classes on those units.

Interestingly enough, my side of this part of the Combat Mod is something I'm hoping can be completely subservient to the graphic of the unit. So you have a power here you didn't realize you had... you can establish the game-meaningful weapon sets on these guys! I'll work with whatever your judgment is on that matter.

I completely agree here!!

Ok, when I end skinning prehistoric era then ill make that list.

Oh, hey, that reminds me... I've noticed that both the Deer Rider and Deer Archer units use bows and I was thinking that's probably not right from the get-go. Can we adjust the Rider to use some form of melee weapon please? I realize this might change the unit's animation setup as well but from a stat perspective it's an important issue. 'Rider' in all other cases means a melee riding unit while 'Archer' means a bow wielding unit - the distinction is quite important for the Combat Mod.

I tried to use this tutorial to switch melee weapons in some units but strangely this dont work in my Nifskope.

Try this one

@Sparth

I have a unit that needs to be re-textured. Can you help me?

Its called a Kora-Kora and I need it to look Indonesian looking rather than Native American looking. In short I need the boat and people retextured.

Some description:
- Asian units using Jade instead Obsidian
- Asian Great Hunter is mounted! Why? Why not

1. I don't think it should use jade since it would need to require Jade resource. Also I don't think Jade is nearly as sharp as Obsidian.

2. Please no horses for the Hunters. Otherwise we would need to have them require Horse Trainers.

3. Your Brute looks overly dressed for the Prehistoric Era.

EDIT: Other than video games the only Jade based weapons I could find was the Mere, which is basically a Jade club made by the native Māori.

It is a good idea for a UU. Too bad the Māori already have a UU, the Tewhatewha.

And i think about mounted Great Hunter.
I have idea when i making this unit that before real domestication of animals and using them in full scale was simply tamming of wild animals. Tamming without knowledge how to breed them.
Great Hunters as a THE GREAT can do special things. Even ride on semi-wild animals :)
