My limited reading of Celtic warfare has covered the 2 chariot types and foot soldiers, but very little regarding horsemen except for scouts. It seems the Celtic mobile units would have been:

Light Chariot (1-1-2)
Heavy Chariot (2-1-2)
Mounted Scout (1-1-2) without the terrain restrictions of chariots
Heavy Horsemen (3-1-2) similar to Ancient Cavalry

But I'm really not as deep into Celtic military as many others on this site, so I would easily defer to the more learned.

If I'm not mistaken, the Celts had very good Cavalry (at least, good compared to Rome. I doubt if they were better than African, Iberian, or Greek Heavy Cavalry, though).

I think someone kidnapped Frosty and brainwashed him.. I know him from the WH 2.1 thread, and he made my avatars (first the Santa hat for the Firaxis` Berserker, and now Grimgor), and this is so not like him...

I am into 3D modelling and animation, and were looking through BeBros great work. I tried to send him a personal message, but I wasn't allowed to get through him.

Why shouldn't I get to compliment him just like other people do?
OK, I went through many of his great chariots and fighters, but my only wish was to compliment the really naturalistic animations of his.

I haven't done units yet, but mostly modelling with lightwave and some movies. I could really like to do some WH units for CIV4 later on, but I am not so strong with python and programming though.

I am very active in the Civ4 forum now since I started playing it.

Now I am looking for a way we could make the WH mod for CIV4.
We could need help from the really great modellers like BeBro, Aaglo and Kinboat

I hope to get more into unit modelling for civ4. As far I see there has been only new skins by now, so I hope to get some tips later how to integrate lightwave models in the game

I was about to start complaining that you are leaving us for the Civ4 too, but then I realised, if some talented people cross over to Civ4, by the time my PC will be able to run it, I`ll already have a few decent mods to play

There is still enough people to work on Civ3, the great ones are missed, but the new ones are turning out to be big talents.

So, ya wanna make units for Civ4 but ya cant. Can you make units for Civ3? I`m not asking about the talent or the will to do it, I`m asking about know-how.

Well, I have this dream about seeing all 4 chaos powers come to life - basing them on my miniatures. But for the moment I am pretty much filled up with work, so ...

I think we have to look forward. The Civ3 WH mod is after all a masterpieca and shouldn't need all that much more work. Get in the Skaven and some more patches, and that may do.

The mod is constantly changing, so you never have the same rules. Perhaps people should try to settle with a standard. It is a great mod, but the Civ3 platform is not nearly as good as Civ4. So imagining Civ4 on WH would be amazing. I though about starting converting the WH rules for Civ4.
Hopefully, many of the animations could still be used on the platform.

I hope you can play Civ4 soon Stormrage. It's so much better than III (but it feels bad to leave the WH-playing for the moment)
