Sometimes it Good to have a Farmhand to Fork your Enemies to Death when the Feud is on
Winner of the July 2010 Unit of the Month Contest :trophy:

I made this Unit for EFZI2 Complete and thought others might have a use for it as well.

Special Thanks to Gary Childress for providing me with the Hat, Scarf and Clothes I could apply some colors and textures to for this unit.

The Combined animations here are at different speeds in game so the Run, for example, is faster.

Forgot to mention that the Green Scarf is Civ Specific Colored.

The Tines in the Fork were tough to have render well due to the Skin Tones of the Unit and the reds that were in the Tines with Anti-aliasing and the Magenta Background...so I reduced the Skin Tones to less reds in the palette to prevent the Tines from being colored Salmon Red type colors.

I made the Victory Sound to go along with the Farmers Diplo Music... that and I added a YeeHaw! to it  Anyway, Glad you guys like the unit :)

Oz... perhaps I could add worker animations at a later time but far too much of a work load to do it now. Workers require many animations and I still have many units to make to finish EFZI2 Complete.

Making the Armed Farmhand (Upgrade Unit) next. Will probably keep everything basically the same other than adding a gun since it is a simple Upgrade.

Mainly wanted to replace these units because they both wear a Tunic that just did not fit the area or game.

Perfectly understandable :hatsoff:

...nearing perfection, as usual
downoading now. I'll definitely have use for him

thanks

Vuldacon, it strikes me that if you just turn the fork over on the attack animation (so the tines point down instead of up) it would make a pretty good generic worker animation:

I was thinking along similar lines, this would be a great looking worker unit
for an "Old West" type scenario.

 ... I appreciate you Guys and your desires and thoughts.

Still, there are personal factors that no one could understand and I must stay on track and finish what I am endeavoring to do :)

On a side note... Remember that Fast is not necessarily Better (in anything) and not at all if it takes away from what could have been better.

That said, certainly anything generally could have been made better in retrospect but the point is to know that we have tried to do our best at the time we did it :)

Turning the Fork Over would still be additional work and effort that takes away from personal priorities for work. It also would not suffice for all worker abilities. This May sound pathetic but believe me, it is no simple matter with limited time :)

Other than that... If I was going to make a Worker Unit with this unit, I would take the time to do it all appropriately and that takes time :)

Awesome unit, I agree adding the worker anims to it would put this unit over the top of excellence - but I TOTALLY understand your point :) I'll take it whenever you can get to it, and who knows, maybe some other unit maker will have your permission to add those anims to it?

Great job, great animations, I will enjoy it even more once you have the time needed to make some worker animations to go along with it.

Nice! Very detailed. Now we need Hired Hands and armed Hirehands *hint, hint*

Okay !
I`ll hire him for my own ranch. A helping hand can always be of some usage.
His fluid anims are top notch stuff. :goodjob:

... maybe I`ve found a bug. In the attack he`s lifting his hind leg from the ground - N ;E ;W orientation. Not sure for the S.
But in all the diagonal directions he leaves his feet on the ground. :crazyeye:
Maybe it makes a sense which slips my attention. :scan:
