New Version - July 15th (7-15)

I have a strange CTD on my current game, when I mouseover the happiness icone, I get an instant CTD, it happened just after I took the Autocracy policie that give +25% combat strengh and -50% war weariness, I assume it cause conflict with that new bonus.
At first I thought it was a conflit on the turn I took that policie, but it happen on every turn after now.
Someone had same issue? or is there a way to disable it?
Edit: Also, I have the +25% bonus from policie AND the +25% bonus from Global wargame, and they don't stack unfortunately :( but they duration merge, I have something like 77 turn of +25%, maybe it can be part of ctd too?

In the technologies screen when I hovered the icons for the wonders, both wonder tooltips said "Built by Pacal in Palenque". And 7 turns later he also completed Temple of Artemis in the same city. He even went with Authority.
Maybe he used a Great engineer to finish one ?
He's using authority, so he has high production, which is good for wonders in 7 turns ?

Forgot about the Mayan UA. My bad. Really impressive if he got to mathmatics that fast with authority. A lot of techs in front of me, and also ahead of me in social policies and i went Tradition. Well played by him though ;)

Authority is quite good if you really go 'authoritary'. You know, earning science from killings and all that.

Oh okay, thought I'd finally not have to repair improvements all the time :crazyeye:
The events that pillages events are part of Gazebos events, and are classified as bad events. As such, these should not trigger, if you have picked the "no bad events" option. So something seems off here.

Well, Events are optional, you know... ;)

Well I don't mind all the other events, it just gets rather tedious managing my workers with repairs, because if a worker isn't free the turn I get the popups I most likely forget about them :D

I agree with this, btw. I like events, and even don't mind bad events, but those pillaging events get SO tiresome. I seem to have one trigger almost every other turn or so once I get a big empire, and it's really not interesting to have to keep sending your workers back and forth to endlessly repair improvements.

Are the events triggering for you in the latest patch?

Or, on the other hand, if you have automated workers, just forget about that event.

Somewhat related to the "bad events" discussion. It would be nice to know what priority automated workers place on repairing these tiles as opposed to building something new.
I've often had to stop my auto-workers from doing something else to repair my pillaged tiles because in my mind that is more important: removes the "pillaged tiles unhappiness" and restores the resource or general yield of the tile(s).

I must admit I hate having automated workers, I like seeing my cities grow large (more farming, less villages) and not having those cluster roads/connections they seem to build (in vanilla at least) is worth micromanaging it

Edit: the f word is not allowed?

You could run one or two automated workers with the "don't replace improvements" option going while manually building the rest of your improvements yourself, afaik the automated workers always seems to prioritize repairs.

Well, they are definitely still firing with "no bad events" checked. Can confirm.

A small writing suggestion that bugs me.

When monument event occurs the 3rd suggestion says something like; "Neither will suffice. The Monuments will generate revenue". Why not "Open a farmer's fair around them" or "Give licenses for farmer's fair around them". It's just 1000BC and when that pops up it somewhat breaks history a bit.

Honestly, the idea of paying to view thing is ancient, I don't see why a monument couldn't generate revenue.

Not only curses aren't allowed to be written, if you try to trick the filter you can be denounced and a moderator can do ?&%/(·$& and *´.^)"$%) to you.

@Gazebo
Can you comment on when the next multiplayer patch will be released? I understand this topic lies with Lynnes, but he seems to be preoccupied these days. Furthermore, can you elaborate on what is required to create the MP version?

Oh, and I love the CPP. It's amazing what you and everybody else have achieved so far!
