In the meantime, I'm attaching a copy of the Community Patch with a band-aid that may fix it.

Note: remember to remove the LUA file from the CP below if you are using the CBP. Also clear cache.

I used your bandaid folder to replace the old CP folder, removed the lua file as you said and of course cleared cache

I crashed even quicker this time heh maybe turn 4. attaching the new mini-dump, let me know if anything else is needed

Yep - downloaded the fixed CP, removed LUA folder, cleared cache, loaded a save that crashed with this version - still crash at the exact same moment. It should be save game compatible, right? Anyway, here's my minidump.

I have to unfortunately confirm. Installed the band-aid patch, cleared cache, removed LUA and loaded my latest autosave. First end-turn resulted in CTD.

Finally found where civ puts the minidump and have attached it.

Feared as much. Ilteroi knows about this, so he'll fix it in due time. Meanwhile, revert to previous version if you need your civ fix today or tomorrow.

... but previous version had the silly game-breaker CS "feature"... do you happen to have a copy of the pre-previous version that was working very fine for me?

...or, give me a quick hint as to where to revert that change (has to be outside the dll as it is CBP related, right?).

If you aren't using EUI, I have the installer for the previous version. Let me know if you need it. :)

A silly thought - perhaps not - should the medic promotion for ships be renamed? I mean, on a broken ship, a wounded crew is the least of the problems...calling it Engineer promotion I think would be more characteristic of the needs.

Does anyone have the full installer (with EUI) from the november 5th version? Can't find that myself :(

Think I posted this in wrong section before

Cant get past 1st turn in this game with these mods on, Have tried EUI and non EUI versions always seem to get stuck trying to access my first city has been this way for past few versions. Have cleared cache and deleted all mods then reinstalled the community patch from the self installer EXE files

Can you verify that you installed EUI in the correct place for the EUI version, and that you *uninstalled* it when you switched to non-EUI?

May we have a screenshot of your first turn difficulty? It will be much easier to diagnose your problem if we can have a looksee.

Gothic I used the self installer from the main link tried both of them actually with EUI and without EUi to the default install directories, unless there is another way to uninstall it I just cleared out or deleted the mods folder and the cache folder

You need to uninstall EUI manually, it is not in the mod-folder or the cache. It is located in your steam-library. Something like "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\Assets\DLC"

Maybe you installed the EUI-mod in the wrong folder? That happened to me...installed it into "C:" while my steam folder was on my "G:" harddrive, 'cause it doesn't auto-detect the steam folder (for me atleast).

There's a mighty long list of silly terminology that pervades the entire civ franchise. Healing? Quests? Plains on hills? :run:

Personally, I just convince myself that "healing" (in general) is actually a reinforcement action and "medic" represents better supply capabilities. Along with the actual "supply" promotion, the "logistics" policy etc, there's probably a good argument for polishing that up at some point. It's difficult to arrange logically when the game is essentially a big pile of stacking bonuses from multiple sources, imho.
