Re-enabled load save button while in-game (experimental - should work, but more testing with save states needed)
Just want to say that I've been playing with the load button back in both on 5-11 and for a long time before that with 15-7 and the only time I ever had any issues was when I played with ExCE, so I'm fairly certain also that this should not create any problem with CP. I don't use CBP, however.
 
And I am also experiencing strange behavior, most notably with city-states being visible despite not being discovered. I'll see if it's a mod conflict, but I highly doubt it.

Edit: No mods running alongside the requirements and still experiencing the same behavior. Unless I am losing my mind a bit, I'm pretty sure the No-EUI version is broken...

Also, if anyone else experiences crashes, please post mini dump file as well.

I don't know why we're seeing crashes, as the CP is Rock-solid on my end. This is why releases are useful though, as not all computers are spec'd the same way.

I just had a very early crash to desktop. all i had done was move my warrior, then im at the desktop.

- i have zero mods installed other than the full suite of CBP, freshly downloaded and installed w a cleared cache


i hope these files are what you need?

I'll take a look. I'm out of pocket today, but I'll definitely give it a go either this evening or tomorrow.

It's odd that some users are immediately crashing and others are not. Sorry about all this! As I said, this is why mass deployment is useful.
 
Just hopping in here to let you know that I too am having seemingly random CTDs very early in game (started around turn 50 or so, by turn 80 seems nearly inevitable at end turn). Bit unfortunate as this is my first experience with the community patch :p

Completely clean install on a fairly new system that has never had CivV installed on it before. Just running the full Community Patch EUI set of mods, which were auto-installed.
It's a clean crash to desktop; no warnings or errors of any kind. The game just forcibly shuts itself down during the AI's turns. Switching between DirectX versions or altering various settings do not seem to change anything.

I've attached my autosaves and what few log files I could find in the hopes it can help you track this issue down. The latest autosave (turn 85) seems to crash fairly consistently within 2-3 turns, so that's probably your best test subject.

I'm more of a lurker usually, but since I've got apparently a similar issue as many others, I'll add my two cents and hope that it helps resolve the problem.

I started a game with India and after some 50 turns or so it just crashed - immediately to desktop. I'm attaching the logs and the minidump (let me know if you need something else).

EDIT: started another game to see if I can get through the early phase, but no dice, still a crash straight to desktop, around the same turn.

I've got this exact same problem. Haven't had a CTD yet because I haven't given it the chance to. Every time I see a CS like this I quit and reinstall CBP, and nothing has changed. Using CBP full without EUI, no outside mods.
 
Thanks for being patient, everyone. I think I've found the crash via the minidumps (it makes no sense, especially since I can load and run all of your saves without issue). The problem is that the crash is in ilteroi's code (I say not to throw him under the bus, but to explain that I need to wait on him to fix it for permanent solution). In the meantime, I'm attaching a copy of the Community Patch with a band-aid that may fix it. I'm also attaching a copy of No-EUI CBP that should fix the CS issue you are seeing. I'll update the full installers once we know if these fixes work or not.

Note: remember to remove the LUA file from the CP below if you are using the CBP. Also clear cache.

Will you be implementing the GameEvents in DLL Various Mod Components v68, or will that push CP DLL too close to the memory limit?

I didn't realize he'd added a v68. I'll look at it later this week - not sure what all he's changed.

Among other things I think he looked into a bug that caused the faith bonus to Shrines and Temples when picking Piety to double under some circumstances.

Indeed, sir, indeed. Even when you meet the city-state, you can't even seem to do anything with it. :crazyeye:
