I've tried. And despite focusing on it, building every single wonder, being 12+ techs ahead, creating GP almost every single turn, nuking Brazil with caravan tourism bombs, having 65+ pop capital, I didn't manage to get tourism victory. I got spaceship victory instead, simply because there was nothing else to build in cities, nothing else to research, so I started to make spaceship.
That was what i expected... What difficulty? Map size? Policies? How many cities?

Ottomans, small map, had 4 cities, Emperor, Tradition + Artistry + Rationalism + Freedom (I think 10 policies there or so) + Industry (3 policies). Everyone else went into statecraft so I skipped.

And this was with crippled scientists, so tech victory was slowed even more.

Oh dear. I haven’t played tourism recently, but if it’s been crippled so much, that’s a serious issue. I was afraid of something like that when the number of cities bonus was removed. I wouldn’t advocate bringing that back, but tourism needs some other buff to replace it.

Historic events suffered from same bug as GP bulbing. It’ll be addressed in next version.

It kinda seems to me that it might be not enough. The whole mechanics of "more tourism for having fewer cities" was a way to compensate bigger amount of culture that players have on larger maps (more cities = more culture). It was a very bad execution but the idea seems to be right. I think tourism should somehow scale with map size

Based on testing, it is enough.

What difficulty? Cause on Deity last too or three times (before the change) it was very challenging to play tourism. One game i saw AI with 420 thousands culture. I'm afraid that tourism may become unwinnable (at least on Deity). Though i'm not sure, you might be right

VP is retuned for tourism via historic events to play a big role (often 50+% of your tourism). The goal of this was to make tourism feel a little bit more involved than just dumping yields in a bucket every turn. After fixing the bug, historic event tourism was reduced by 40%. So you can see the issue.

Playing Tourism on deity is a different beast than that on lower difficulties. I play Epic/Marathon so I can't comment on the experience on Standard but I also frequently end up having one or two massive culture leaders which I have to actively counter.

I think people don't use Historical Events as much as they should when pursuing a cultural victory. Winning wars for one can be a huge contribution throughout the game's duration.

This is a bit of a non-sequiter, but I couldn't help but notice how the only Policy trees that have retained their original names (Tradition and Rationalism) were the only two that were really good in the first place. Funny how that turned out.

Appologies for the wait...

Let me know if they work good, I provided a Readme for people who are less experienced with this.

P.S: Will most likely be making my posts in both the "New Version" thread posts and the "DLC Modpack and 43-Civ Version Repository"

I'll try and keep on top of creating and uploading Modpacks as the glorious patches come in.
:)

Cheers,
