New Video, NAVAL COMBAT!!

That is awesome!
I am definetly picking up a copy the day it comes out.

I am sceptic... sure, it looks great, but ever since SEGA took over from Activision, the gameplay have suffered for "arcade action"... I only hope that CA and SEGA will make it as moddable as Rome and I also hope that they will release the hardcode so that we, the fans, can mod it even better...

of course, it will be great to play sweden at last and kick some russian, danish, norwegian and german butt.... :p

Hope that after this we'll be seeing naval combat in Rome 2 or Medieval 3.

Moved and Seconded!!! This looks like an awesome addition to an already great game.

FREAKIN' A! I'd better start saving for a new PC now as that will NEVER run on my current set up, but it looks well worth it :D

Yay, yet more proof I won't be able to play this for like eight years or something!

Seriously, looks awesome... Just wish I could actually play it, but I wouldn't even trust me PC with M2, let alone this! ;)

Damn, this is awesome!

Yet again, they've released a Total War game that noone will be able to play for several years! I'm more interested in how the game after this will be affected by the changes they've made, as this timeframe is pretty dull. None of the Total War games so far have been able to match the sheer brilliance of Shogun, but they've all been excellent triumphs. This one I have my doubts about. Great graphics, but few people have computers powerful enough, and what tangible improvements have been brought to Total War, other than AI which can handle missile weapons?

looks awesome, but my computer lags on Rome and crashes occasionally on M2TW. My computer would die if I tried to play it.

I never got to play Shogun Total War so: What is so mind-bendingly awesome about this edition of TW? I've often heard that it was the best of the series.

It was the first. Before Shogun there was nothing, just Age of Empires and Civilisation. Then Shogun came and changed EVERYTHING! None of its successors have been able to achieve the sheer uniqueness and mind-bogglingly different style it had. Basically, every Total War came is just a poor copy of Shogun with new graphics and features. Shogun was so easy to pick up and play but has a replayability rarely seen. The other Total War games can be frustrating for a newb to play, and rely on modding to have any decent replayability.

I've never had any problems with replayability when it comes to M:TW, but R:TW + frustrates me, and I did start with Shogun.

MTW and shogun also have the advantage in that there are more than four main campaigns each, rather than the one offered by RTW and its successors.

doode, i'm crying. Didn't know they were doing a total war based on this time. This is my favorite era and the graphics are insane. must have.

This game looks sweeter and sweeter. Shame I'll probably have to sell everything I own and then some to buy a machine to play it.
