Also it shows that it isnt a bad idea to include more details, something which i was afraid of due to the inevitable minimising of size for the pcx

You're right, somehow the detail came accross better with this one. I tried it with edges turned on and then(this version) with edges turned off and profiles set at 1. Sketchup really has opened up a new world of modding.

Traianus: do you have an url from where i can dl some free version of PSP or other program that can do palettes?
I only have mspaint, and gimp doesnt seem to help with that either, so i am stuck to making them manually and it is HELL!
