Looks great Impaler

The Sphinx would work great in a combo with Pyramids for non-spiritual civs - not only do you get all goverments, but you also get zero anarachy :)

Yes they do have a lot of synergy, I wonder if I'm giving it enough time to be usefull for most players, I dont tend to do that many switches early in the game. Tipicaly I would save myself

Slavery (if you got Sphinx early)
Adopting an early religion
Organized Religion (if you dont do it with Slavery)
Vassalage and/or Serfdom (I rairly use serfdom)
Buracracy and/or Theocracy
maybe a Pacifism/Merchantilism switch (again rare for me)

I am thinking DivineRight isn't a good spot to Obsolete, its a tech you could avoid for a long time, I'm leaning towards Education as thats realy a nessesity yet its still possible to grab Nationalism and maybe Representation switches before it goes obsolete. So overall your looking at a minimum of 4-5 less turns of Anarchy maybe as many as 8-10 if you switch alot and/or combo with Pyrimids. Hows that sound?

Sound fine, but I expect people will be changing these stats anyway to better suit their own mods/needs, so it's not paramount to have them perfectly balanced. :)

Gasp. It is a worthy project.

Art of war code is now functioning exactly as I want it too, the effect should be very fun to play with and be a big bost for you war-mongers out their. Heres a peek of several of the major Wonders all cramed in a City.

I gave the Zigg -o- Marduk a +1 Global Happiness and changed Notra Dame to give +1 Happiness to all Temples (much like the Oracle from original Civ) as I always though its effect was rather weak.

My wonder is the longest! :D

:joke: Okay, I'm done with the adolescent jokes.

I've got couple of questions - the Chinese looking building (I assume it's the Art of War wonder), is that reusing temple graphics or did somebody make it?

What about an effect that automatically upgrades for free all your units (like Leo's workshop in civ3 or maybe 2 can't remember)? I don't think that was mentioned (I certainly forgot all about it). Is it even possible? I guess colt armory could sort of do that if you change it to reduce cost of upgrade by 100% but you'd still have to upgrade everyone manually.

The Art of War is a Confusian Acadamy incressed in Size, I took that from the Lost Wonders mod which also had a button (a lost button), the effect was originaly a clone of the Pentagon but now the effect is brand new and unique.

The Art of War gives 2 free promotions to every unit you own at the time its completed, its a one time firing effect afterwhich the "building" dose nothing but its culture and GPP for you. The Promotions are given just like the unit had goten them through experience, the unit gets the BlueGlow and you select the promotions you want, the key difference is that the FreePromotions do not raise a units level and thus dont change the exp needed to get the next promotion. So for example if your Monty and have a Barracks your unit starts with Combat I and 4 exp and is already glowing for that first promotion. Say you now build the Art of War, you now select the unit and hit Combat II, the unit stays level 1 continues to glow, you hit Combat III again stays at level 1 and continues to glow. The 2 free promotes are now consumed and when you hit Combat IV the exp promotion is consumed and the unit reaches level 2, he will recive his next promotion at 5 exp points just at he normaly would and continues to promote at all the normal exp levels.

I'll leave the current list of wonders as is for the virst version, the resent Pisa model will be in the next version, I'm currently lacking 3 buttons and 1 structure, Colt Armory both, Code of Hammurabi button (original .tga button looks nice but crashes the game) and Big Ben (Big Ben Button is in progress though), any ideas who I should commition to do the others?

For your Wonder Mod Impaler you can also use some of the warlords (if you have it) art form the scenario. There are some new buldings and wonder in the scenario.

A little publicity, you can also use my old wonder, and Sevo Temple. Arthemis temple is already in Warlords but you can make it a new wonder.

Could you do a model of the Canadian Parliament buildings? After hearing the song Stonecutter by James Keelaghan, I did a search on the building and it is indeed a beautiful structure. The part about the Peace Tower is what really got to me.

Yea. It's amazing what a bunch of master masons and stonecutters can do when you give them free reign of a quarry. :D

A bit of history: The original building caught fire in 1916, and due to structural defects brought on fire the fire it had to be torn down. They put out an open contract for the rebuilding effort, giving masons to came to help near free reign of a quarry for building the new parliament structure and to build their own house on a section of land that is now called Stonecutter's Lane (to this day it remains some of the most prized real-estate in Ottawa). However, since all the young men had been drafted for the war effort, there were no apprentices to help out. As a result, only master masons came to work, which brought about the creation of an incredibly beautiful structure.
For those interested, here's the lyrics for the song. I can't seem to find them online, and I don't think James would mind if it brought more people to his music.
If you're down by Queen and Briton's Streets, you'll find Stonecutter's Lane
The house that my grandfather built, where I was born and raised
My grandad was a mason, my father in his time
When my time came I signed as an apprentice lad

Early 1900's were a rich fat afternoon
We were cutt'n stone like demons, no work was done too soon
We were hired out on seven jobs, and so to take the slack
We put out advertisements for apprentice lads

You'd never find a better crew
They knew what work was
Cornices and lintels, they laid stone like they were gods
Hear the hammers ring out, you'd think it was a song

August 1914, in the sulty summer heat
They took a vote on Ottawa, and the drums began to beat
Honor, glory, us or them. the story doesn't change
To a man they all enlisted my apprentice lads

I couldn't say that I agreed, because I knew what war was
It was worker killing worker for some politician's cause
But off to battle they all marched, and gassed them at Cambrai
The dogs of war had done for my apprentice lads

1916 fire broke out, and Parliament was razed
A call went out for masons to rebuild and to relay
It was the contract of a lifetime
A house upon the hill

So they came out from Vancouver, they came down from Montreal
Master masons, every one. They were answering their call
There was no man under thirty, no man whose work I didn't know
The fields of France had swallowed the apprentice lads

It's 1921 now, I'm standing at the peek
About the cap the Peace Tower off, there's no one here can speak
The mortar for that stone we mixed, the clay from Flander's Fields
We laid it in its place for those apprentice lads
Yeah, we laid it in its place for those apprentice lads

These buildings here are not ready to use. They are "just" art, so they cannot really be installed, you'd have to do everything to get them ingame yourself.

If you still want to do that, you should check this tutorial about units, because buildings work in nearly the same way.
