The sphinx looks excellent - thanks for making it!! I must get round to modding in Civ IV - I hope to start Anno Domini once Warlords comes out and this will definitely be in!

Nice work Rabbit, I was thinkiing we should do a Art/Code colaboration and create a Mod Component called "New Wonders" which combine your Art with my new XML tags. You already have 3 nice wonders and Gnart has a nice Leonardos workshop in his mod which I suspect he would allow others to use. Thats 4 wonders plus what ever your working on next (any of my ideas sound apealing to you?)

I'm going to aim for a week from this coming weekend to have the SDK stuff ready or atleast enough of them to give several new effects. Do you have any requests you would like done?

Also I think the base on your Sphinx looks a lot like the Temple of Carnak (its thouse twin oblisks in front). Perhaps its possible to use that Base building at a whole wonder of its own, it would make a nice Shrine for an Egyptian religion. The Sphinx part could be seperated and enlarged 50-70% and placed directly on the ground (I think thats how the Shpinx realy is). Then you have 2 wonders for the price of one :goodjob:

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it, but I'm still not happy with the skin. :D

@Impaler: I think without the Sphinx this tomb would look a bit bland at the top.
As for other wonders, I don't have any specific ideas at this point. I like your ideas for wonder effects, but these three were all I wanted to make at this point. I might do more in the future (I like architectural modeling) but right now I'm gonna go back full-time to unit creation. :)

Maybe I'll do some wonder in the near future (if I find some time), if you want to add a mod component with all the wonder avilable here it will be nice.

@Thunderfall: Thanks

@Prestidigitator: I've no immediate plans for more wonders

Excelent the Sphinx is a real classic and must have wonder.

Anyone have ideas/sugjestions for an Effect I can mod?

The new tags and sugjested Wonder combos I'm looking to make, ofcorse anyone can easily mix or change these once the code exists these are just ideas for combinations that have good flavor value in my opinion.

Number of Cities Maintance Modifier (White House, -100%)
Distance from Capitol Maintance Modifier (Big Ben, -100%)
Impregnable boolean (RedFort in India, makes City un-attackable)
Upgrade Cost Modifier (Colt Armory, -%50%)
Free Cronscription Timer (TerraCota Army, free Unit every 5 turns)
Free Promotions (Art of War, 2 free Promotions to every unit on completion)
Global Building Commerce (General Electric, +1 gold for every PowerPlant (all types) on Earth)
Commerce on Build (Effel Tower, +20000 Culture on Completion)
Diplomacy Modifier (Peace Corps, +2 diplomactic Modifier with all Players)
Free Connections (Silk road, Connects every City on the continent to your trade network and gives +1 trade routes to every city)

Commerce on Build is going to also support Research and Gold Commerce so it could be used to give a large sum of Gold or Reserch Points on completion of the wonder, the effect will not be multiplied by City or player bonuses (just like Great Person Effects). The gold option might make a nice cash-cow wonder but I cant realy see much interest in a lump sum of Research Points for a wonder when their are things like the Oracle, rather this will probably see use on generic buildings like Librarys and Labs to give a modest 20-50 points when each is completed.
When will this be out? I can't wait to implement these :D

I have the new Data members added to the Infos.h and Infos.cpp along with the new data that the player will have to have to recive the effects. The new Building Schema I finished yesterday (their such a pain because Civ4 just blows up with out giving any kind of usefull message when you have a bad schema). Next I need to verify that loading the data members off an actualy BuildingInfos.xml wont blow up (I used a new untested method for my array sizing allowing them to be determined by XML children rather then the number of object types so cross your fingers, if it dosn't work I can always rip it out and replace with the mundane style), then I add basic Civopedia readouts on the data and verify that its being acuratly loaded. And then LASTLy I actly make the data have an effect (irronicaly one of the easiest parts) and verify that its doing so correctly (depending on complexity and buggyness this can be anything from skipped entirly or so difficult I give up in frustration). Lastly/lastly I polish up any additional text I feed is needed and start on actualy Mod making.

I hope to have some of the features fully activated for the next CCP release scedualed for this comming Sunday 23rd. If people would like to help with get the XML mod side of things together that would be great as I am not good with ArtDefines and all that stuff. If someone can cobble together the following Wonder Buildings created here on the forum into one set of XML files I'll list you as "XML editor" for the Mod.

Code of Hamurabi (Prestidigitator) : avalible Writing, Obsolete CivilService, -50% Distance AND numCities Maintance (basicaly equal to a Courthouse everyCity but a real Courthouse still cuts the remaining maintance in half) cost 200.

Temple of Marduk (Prestidigitator) : undesided possibly some kind of religious tie in effect. Probably avalible around Alphabet

White House (White Rabbit) : avalible Constitution, Obsolete ?Satilites maybe?, -100% NumCities Maintance (Combo with StateProperty for zero maintance), cost 800

CN Tower (White Rabbit) : avalible MassMedia, Obsolete never, Takes effect of Effel Tower, same cost as Effel

Sphinx (White Rabbit) : avalible Mystisim, Obsolete Machinery, maybe +1 Happyness from Monestaries or some other extra Commerce from Monestaries.

Leonardo's Workshop (Gnart) : avalible Paper?, obsolete Biology, 1 free Artist, Scientist and Enginer pluss bonuses for each in this City using my Localized Specialist Bonus effects. cost 600?

Temple of Artemis (Sevo) : Identical to SevoMod for now

I have some other ideas for modifying existing Wonders (making the weak ones stronger the Strong ones weaker ect ect, for example the Great Library takes the Internets effect (returning to the classic Civ II effect), AngkorWat, Chitcen Itza and Hagia Sophia, Sisten Chapel beefed up.

Here is the new Schema as well.
