OK thanks Renata and Grille, I go look for it when I get home.
Ah - got you! Thus if I want to jump my palace to newly conquorer territory I'd better take a shed load of workers!Originally posted by MadScot
It isn't +1/3 for foreign. It's 1/3 for foreign. i.e. your own people count one, and the foreigners count 1/3.

Darkness, be advised that the behavior of the interaction between "Ask for build orders after unit construction" and "always build previously built unit" has changed between Vanilla 1.29f and PTW, and the change is not for the better. In Vanilla 1.29f, if you had both options checked, you'd get the popup with the same unit already suggested for the next build (which is how it should be IMHO) but in PTW you will not get a popup in that situation -- "always build previous unit" completely overrides the "ask for build orders" preference.
In the beginning, CivFanatics was a small personal homepage hosted by Geocities (1998) and then at Xoom (1999). The old site title was Civilization Fanatics' Page. After we moved the site to Strategy Gaming Online in March 2000, the site was renamed to Civilization Fanatics' Center. The CivFanatics site you see today really started after the move because server space is no longer a problem. We didn't have a downloads section and forums before the move.

Do civs ever trade or sell you cities? I try to get them to do it every once and a while, but they never seem to take the deal.

I signed a MPP (mutual protection pact) with India. A few turns later the Aztecs attacked India. I am automatically at war with Aztecs. I take an Aztec city. A few turns later, before the MPP's 20 turns are up, I make peace with the Aztecs. My reputation is:
(A) Just fine. Of course if the Aztecs attack India again, it will be war all over again.
(B) Just fine, but only if the Aztecs had no troops in India at the time of my making peace.
(C) Trashed.
Another reputation question: If you make a military alliance with France against Russia, but don't actually send any troops, is your reputation damaged? If so, how about if you only attack one Russian unit in neutral territory?
What question are you asking here? Read AI Attitude by Bamspeedy to see exactly how attitude is arrived at.Originally posted by Ultraworld
(1) The zulus are furious with me. Ridiculous: they are the one who started every war against me by walking in my terretory, asking for money, alliances with the rest of the world.
There's the rub. The actual message you recieved was 'Remove your forces or declare war', not 'Remove your forces or I will declare war'. Since you didn't remove your forces you were the one to declare war.(2) I challanged the greeks for a war by placing troops in their terretory. They asked me to leave but I said no (I wanted a war) so they delcared war on me. Is this bad for my reputation. The Aztecs think it is a bad and they say I am a liar etc.
