The difficult immortal level didn't prevent a number of impressive victories, with Duckweed securing a remarkable 1650AD space win to secure a highly unusual gold medal for a peaceful victory. Meanwhile WastinTime proved that spending the first 10 turns searching for a better city site (and by the looks of it, failing to find one) is no barrier to a silver medal.

Here's where everyone settled.

The Small Print:
The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 0). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated.

Wow, Wastin, that was some out-of-the-box thinking :) Bring your capital to your neighbour and pop quechua with 5 hammers per turn.

Congratulation to all the winners, very high-class list at the top and among fastest awards.

Thx, I heard that this is the only high level Inca game-of-the-month...maybe ever, so I couldn't resist doing an Inca rush. Since it was Epic instead of Marathon, I figured I had to find a better location to start. I also wanted to find some of the AI so I'd start near them. So I just headed south, away from the water until something suitable came along. I've never played a game with absolutely NO resources in my capital. Not sure I made the right choice, but I have to say the Inca rush part of my game went well.

Congrats everybody.

Nice to see old friends around... and in good shape!

Well played everyone...

Really fast spaceships by Duckweed and others.

Thanks, the way to the peaceful victory is the opposite.;) Fun map, I hope to see a smaller map next time. Congratulations to all the winners.

Congrats to all the winners and one hell of a job Duckweed.:goodjob:

You are right. I felt a hell of job of finishing this game. I had to escape to desktop every turn after 1000AD and my game still crashed 3 times.

A gold medal with a Space Race, never thought that this is possible! And a really fast Conquest!

Not very difficult, grab enough land and then tech and grow. OU is the 1st priority.

Congrats to all the winners! One of these days, when I have the time, I'm going to have to look in to Duckweed's impressive win.

You're welcome.:) Don't laugh when you see I was on OR while almost all the cities were building wealth.:p

Lots of experienced players taking on this one. I'm a little puzzled that nobody saw fit to play this on Deity level. The lure of the medals, I suppose.

*BUG Hint* The cake is a lie.

:mischief:

Congrats to everyone who won, which is challenge enough for most of us at Immortal level. Esp congrats to kommander tarkin who managed to beat what I thought was sure to be the highest religious victory score.
