Will the official Firaxis patch that eventually comes(being optimistic)simply overwrite Bruhics unofficial patch without me having to do anything????

I sure hope that new patch (I hope it will exist) will fix the performance difference between Civ4 Vanilla and BtS + my graphic memory error.

It sucks playing vanilla when you got used to BtS

Yes it will. Bhruic's just replaces the CvGameCoreDLL.dll file, which in turn will be replaced by the new patch.

Exactly. Thanks to the game code being made available to the public, Bhruic was able to go in an fix a number of things that had become broken by the last patch, or weren't fixed from the original release.

Firaxis will release a patch soon, which will be gay and full of flaws, as we are all used to. Do not download or install this.
Wait for either Bhruic or Solver to replace this (if at all), and then download that...
