I'm sure the stream isn't using the absolute latest and greatest, but it seems like wishful thinking to assume the actual patch will be drastically different than what was shown. It's not like they are doing all the bug fixes and balance changes in the last week before the patch.

My hope is that the expanded mod tools exist and allow modders to fix the game for us.

Actually, that stream had absolutely nothing to do with the patch. It showed off a scenario in the new DLC that uses a special ruleset. There was very little discussion specifically related to the patch and changes to the base game.

They can quite easily play an older build, with the Aussie scenario added.

Definitely OT, but when this patch drops, how do I remove all mods I've downloaded? I've installed so many I don't even remember where they all go and inevitably this patch will break at least one of them.

No worries. In main menu, you choose what mods/DLC you would like to run with your new game. And the patch will (eh...) patch up any manually edited core gamefiles you have.
So even with 100 mods installed, you can stare a fresh game with 0 mods running.

My problem now is that I would love to play, but with a patch so close, damn, wait. Watching this thread in all its ridiculousness.

I have caved in and started playing Endless Legend instead. The game is just getting good, so undoubtedly the patch will appear in the middle of the night and mean that I never get around to finishing it tomorrow

That's usually how these things turn out. I am at work at the moment, but when I get home tonight I will probably just start up insurgency, battlefield, or my "chess mode" settings for a civ game.

Or still waiting if the patch decides to grace us next Tuesday... Leaving me plenty of time to prepare for steam workshop's launch. Got some small plans.

If the patch comes today, at what time will that be? I think the Poland patch came at around 7:00PM in my country, which would be 2 hours from now. Can we expect this to come at the same time, if it does come today?

That makes for three methods of predicting when the stream will drop: Magic 8-ball, Tea Leaves, and Astrology.

Yeah, this is getting really odd. I really thought it would be today.

There's really no reason that it wouldn't be today other than the QA's updating. Really it would be as late at 10 eastern tonight or Tuesday.

One almost certainty out of all this is that if we don't see it tonight then absolutely do not expect it until Tuesday.
