Ooooh, double civs! Did they explicitly say "2 new civs", or maybe they were referring to alternative leaders?

When did the placeholder achievements go live?
They don't have any information to give regarding the patch notes in this livestream. Those are coming soon.

At this moment they only have information and and a 150 minute long livestream regarding the paid DLC.

The patch must be so overwhelmingly good that they can't even begin to give any details on it in such a short livestream.

When they announced the livestream would have details regarding multiplayer teams / workshop and more ! You should not have expected any details.
I didn't mention anything about patch notes being in the stream... The point is the game need work and not more content at this point. They can dump all the content out but I'm keeping money and give it to some other more competent company in the games current state.

P.S. I LOVE the game itself but the AI is just awful and moving armies makes me sleepy and bored.

They said that, but I wonder if that's what they really meant.
I really hope it's two full Civs and not 1 new Civ and then Isabella. Because Isabella just seems to be an alternative leader for Spain that means she's just a quarter of a Civ, not a whole Civ.
I think these new Civs might be a native North American tribe and the Inca, with added Isabella (of Portugal) making up a Colonial DLC.
My colonial monarchs knowledge isn't that great but wasn't Isabella of Portugal the wife of Charles V when he started colonising "New Spain" in the new world?

As for the "Inca" specifically and then a random "Native American tribe" it's because there are no native Civs to the new world except for the Aztecs and I doubt the Maya will be introduced until an expansion back because Palquene is a city states (I doubt any of the City states will become full Civs until the first round of expansions). Of which the Inca are the only South American natives I know (with the exception of the Nazca?*) and then there are no north american native city states so Shoshone, Iroquois or even a new tribe could be introduced.

Same here, mostly due to how Pete keeps saying "soon".
Yes, the way he said it I could tell that its gonna be sooner rather then later. IDK if anyone caught that but he had a tone about it that seemed to invoke 'tonight' or 'tomorrow' in my mind.

See, I don't think that it will be Aussy and Isabella due to the money/value situation with the deluxe content. I think we will be getting two full new civs. The question is which one really goes along with Aussy, I cant really think of many. My only logic will be continuation with the exploration theme. IE, another ocean civ, like Polynesia, kinda similar here, Portugal or the Dutch.

They said this DLC is just one civ indirectly. Directly speaking Pete said the next DLC is 2 civs

A second civ has been mathematically eliminated from this DLC.

Australia has 2 achievements
the scenario has 6
and Uluru has 1

That leaves 1, which is too few for a full civ.

Plus, the way they said that the next DLC has 2, implies that this one doesn't.

I was being completely sarcastic. I agree with you...

If there are two civs, then you can bet they'll be themed somehow. Given that the first is Australia, it's possible we'll see Canada (another portion of the british commonwealth, fills a large portion of the map, is new to the franchise, rounds out the modern civs and is oft-requested, like Oz).

Even though I'm Canadian, I won't be crossing my fingers for it. I don't care much for modern civs and Canada really hasn't contributed much to world history or technology. Unlike Australia, we don't even have a recognizable culture beyond the overblown moose, hockey and the word 'eh'. Our only really cultural trademark is inclusion of (nearly) every other culture.

Edit: Just ignore me. Just saw the posts about there only being one civ for this DLC. This thread moves quickly...
