I don't really set a personal standard for what an "appropriate civ" is, so I'm rarely irritated. I love it when their choices surprise me. I do have favorites that I want to see, but I don't get angry because others come first. Beyond that, I like novelty playstyles, like Sweden and Venice in Civ V. So mechanics matter as much as the representation.
While the game has issues, I'm optimistic that they will be fixed and the game will be brought in line with the quality of its predecessors. (But I feel that to expect it to exceed that standard is to invite disappointment.) And I also feel that the game is a work in progress until the Complete Edition is announced. So I don't mind the process of patching and adding content through DLC and expansions.
I have no clue but Firaxis basically sponsers him. They host him sometimes. They seem really close and he obviously knows. He stays so quiet about every game. It wouldnt suprise me if hes a beta tester.

While I do not mind the entire pluggin of products nor do I mind the stream with Ed, I am a bit flummoxed that they will not talk about patch changes or update notes. GRRRRR

Part of me is exited about the scenario and it does look kinda cool.
However at the same time I'm annoyed they spent time on this, and didn't care to even fix basic stuff like the finished production bug. It does reming me a bit about Beyond Earth and Rising Tide, where they kept adding features that made the game more and more unbalanced, and patches showed a basic lack of understanding about what made the game too easy and simply not fun to play. That for me is the difference between a game I put 100 hours in and a game I put 1000 hours in. More features and scenarios can't compensate for holes in the base game.

They advertised the livestream would be about the scenario, so this is what you get. Maybe they will tease a little bit about the patch and DLC at the end.
