Vikings and Urgencies -1200AD

Good morning, NUF. I'm not sure how to poll these. There are many questions. Some were approved last turn. Some don't need to be approved until next turn. Others are urgent now. Also, I'm not sure when NUF will make its next move. Hopefully, not tomorrow morning - so we can discuss these today, perhaps and beyond.

Upps Barracks: is building a Crusader. I interpret the Shake's poll as Upps: switch to Catapult. Shortly we will have Muskets, and a new plan to assault The LightHouse of Trondheim is feasible and desirable. Caravels are available.

New None Caravel in Skara: must sail to safety, could bring either Archer or Pikemen somewhere. This will become Udal Ferry. Shortly, both units become Muskets. Skara needs a Road and expensive irrigation - Civ1 & I are sending one or more Settlers shortly. The Skara city site looks ok to me. All things considered, it could be worse.
Skara is only size=1: will not survive an attack.

Udal Ferry approaching Viborg has 2 Routskilde war units. Two is too many. Considering Routs situation, both of these units need to be rehomed. Upps Barracks is cranking well, so both must be rehomed on the mainland. Turn back to Banana Bay.

Banana Bay: Knight 28/40 in 4 (Whale, not Fruit). This Knight is no longer needed. IPRB=30 $4 and switch to Van in 7, rehome one Routs Crusader here in BB.

Viborg: has 5 available units (3 Knights, Legion, Upps Crusader), also a Pikeman guard and 2 Dips. Some of these units might move move over to check for Vikings sneaking onto the Upps Iron. I importune you: the Upps Crusader could gallop to Lindow Moss and rehome there, now.
Viborg: Phx 19/20 is a disaster. Either Switch to Dip and hire Elvis, then start Temple -OR- switch to Temple now and hire Elvis.

Routskilde: Jayne did very well capturing and rehoming all of those Viking units last turn. They survived, but now Routs and Skara are clogged. See Udal Ferry above. Routs has a Catapult we need to attack Trondheim. It also has a Caravel, stranded on the South Coast. None Crusader, go kill the Viking Knight before it attacks and destroys Skara along with all of our new units! Other units in Routs, sit and wait. Switch Crusader to Caravan, since Routskilde is already supporting 2 War Crusaders, Catapult, Caravel, Archer & Pikeman! I hope that is clear to everyone...

There are other pressing matters, but this post grows too long:

Ren: just built a Knight. Switch repeat Knight to Van, and move serfs to reduce food so we don't screw up the Aquaduct. We had approved a Market last turn, but that chance is past for now. Van, Then start Aquaduct. Plan$

FA Phx in FA: take road to guard HillMine.

Legion Archer & Dip in India: Recommend Legion & Dip move W then N to secure Mountain, and Ferry brings another Dip to accompany Archer W W into Forest.

We could celebrate again in 8 turns or less.

We have a few more turns to build cheap Pikemen, that will become Muskets. Comments?
 
Duke, I'd love it if you could play what is technically today. I just got home from 12 hours of visiting relatives whom I didn't even expect to see, have work to wrap up in Fanatika, and won't even be here later on today. I'm sincerely sorry that my term as president had to turn out so hectic.

I will try to get in and post a summary in a few hours. Actually, it's all already here.

There is one Settler move I've reconsidered - I'd rather complete the Monks Towne irrigation as Jayne planned, because then it will Celebrate and grow. Also, see Aquaducts thread. Comments?

Revisions in bold, related to Ren Aquaduct and Monks Celebration.

FIRST: Clear.Orders DH Settler SW of Dellham, also both Sett near York Downs, Ren SW W. Octavia S of Ebor? Find these units and click on them before you do anything else, so they can move this turn, rather then complete current project.

Generally, we need Irrigation is some places, others are dangerous to irrigate. In Aonia core, roads are more necessary. MD needs Roads & Irr.

None S of NB: Continue Irrigate Buffalo? then S Road?
LN near Civ: SE Road on Plains (to cut food)?
Penguin: Irrigate Roaded GLS. Then N Road not needed,
  move that serf to Forest, Sail to Beast E Road Irrigate.

Generally, One MT and one CJ and Udal Settler need to head North, charging as they walk, I N of FA, I SW SW of Udal, then two Road to Skara, other (MT?) ships to Uppsala area.

  goal: LN survival, then Irr for TFalls.

Dips and Caravels - 1200AD

Having just bribed Skara, we need a replacement Dip. Vacilating for a week, I now recommend Reneaux build a Dip in 1, then start its Aquaduct. We already have 3 Dips in Viking land, plenty for now. We need to replace the Banana Guard, and add a Dip to guard Skara.
We need another Dip to join the India Force, so we'll have 2 stacks. Legion w Dip, Archer w Dip. They can gently push the border with India. Finally, we are remiss in sending a Dip to the Island SW of Elysium. Please do all of this gradually, retaining a firm Dip Guard network throughout Aonia and along the LC India shore.

Caravals: maintain Ferry structure. New None can serve as Udal Ferry. One Caravel is stranded in Routs, on the South Shore there, because of new heavy Routs support - wait there.
We have a Ship and Dip near Odessa. Maintaining cash position for Shake's is all important. Otherwise, it would be nice to bribe some cheap Nones, but please do not subvert a city there. Ditto Persian explorer vessel.
Udal carrying 2 Routs Crusaders, turn south to Banana Bay. These units need to be rehomed on the mainland, preserving Viking Cities to rehome Upps Battacks units. Rehome one Routs Crusader in Banana Bay, switch BB to Van. This has all been posted, noone has objected, and it all seems necessary.
 
Micromanagement 1200AD

See Shakespeare Poll. Lock Lux 30%, Tax to 50%, then 30% then return to 20% . Caravan plan is also in that thread. Attempt to retain the valuable Nemo Bay Silver sitting in Elysium, but use it to Rush Buy Shake's if necessary. Be careful with serfs in RC Ely & Reneaux related to Aquaducts.

Viborg is a big problem. Another Pikeman seems dangerous to me. Either Dip, or switch to Temple right now. This Temple is overdue.
