NHL Regular Season Thread

Well, look like game over for the Habs.

Oh, they might still make the playoffs - they'd practically have to lose our every game this week not to make the playoffs - but reports have it that they've lost Markov for three weeks, and Schneider for the season. That's a crippled defensive line, and a very crippled power play, right there. But we'll see, maybe they'll pull together.

A typical end for a bad season, injury-wise (Koivu, Lang, Tanguay, A. Kost, Latendresse, Higgins, Laraque, Komisarek, Bouillon, Price...).

Frustrating that the Toronto Creeps did it again (they ALWAYS injure key players of other teams that are going to make playoffs at season's end. I suppose they want to leave their mark in the playoffs, and since they couldn't make playoffs even if all the rest of the East had Rory Fitzpatrick x 20 as their line-up...

Well, I'm still wishing the very best for Montréal. May you meet Vancouver in the finals!

An all-Canada final would be oh-so-very-good.

Anyway, we had a silver lining to the clouds tonight - Schneider may (or may not?) need a season-ending operation, but if he does, he's decided it could wait. And with Yannick Weber recalled, we do have a power play again after all.

Well, that and we got that one point we needed to shut Florida off and ensure our playoff presence.
